Nope.... SO (significant other) is what I always saw as an abbreviation for wife/girlfriend.

Ummmm the question you asked Siri was "Book are you Uber" not "book me an Uber"

Siri is going to be useless until I can feel like I don't have to memorize a list of commands in order for her to understand me. This is a step in that direction but still probably not enough.

Your post reveals the potential problem-- you aren't using Siri enough to realize that you don't have to have a memorized list of commands. You couldn't be more wrong in your impression. I haven't memorized a list, but use the Siri feature everyday and while she still can improve a lot, she has achieved an impressive level of dexterity in responding. For example, if I want to find out if a particular sports team won, I can ask "How did x do?" "Did the x win?" "Who won the X game today?" etc. I can say "Wake me up at 7" or "Set an alarm at 7" or " I need to get up at 7", etc. "Text Ann", "send a message to Ann," "iMessage Ann" etc.
For weather, "is it going to rain," "what's the forecast for" "am I going to need an umbrella" what's the weather going to be," etc. There are tons more examples, but you get the point.

I really encourage people to give Siri a try as she can really make your life easier, and with iOS10 she is even more powerful.

We need full Siri integration into apps like Spotify, until then Siri will still feel gimped.

This suggests that Siri will finally be able to understand the word Uber. Wonder what took so long. And what's a Huber?

Also, when receiving a notification, the contact name appears as you have it store on your iPhone, no longer appears the name everyone chooses on WhatsApp profile.

Not only that, but apps can now specify a title, subtitle and a description, which means that messaging apps like WhatsApp can finally show the contact name and the message separately in different fonts, just like the Messages app can. I am really looking forward this this being adopted by everyone.

Any news on other apps that are looking to use call kit? It would be great if hangouts or Vonage did.

I'm mystified by the expansion of, or even consumer interest in, Siri, at least as it stands right now. Siri can't even parse a simple question, identify all contacts, or even reliably dial a phone number.

"I don't know what do you mean by 'What parade is happening here today?'"

"I found one number for [business name]. Would you like to call it?"
"Yes."
"I don't know what you mean by 'Yes.'"

"Call Robert Jones" [in my contacts]
"Calling Jones Oil and Heating..."

It's failures have trained me out of using it. I'd like to see Apple addressing its core reliability before expanding the reach of a feature I don't bother counting on. And people want it further integrated into things like Spotify? Really?

"Play something by Toad the Wet Sprocket."
"Here are numbers for local auto mechanics..."

Why can't I still see the Whatsapp message I am replying to on the lockscreen? What is the point of being able to reply if I cant see what I am replying to?? Siri support is cool, but this is what I need the most. I have to constantly jump into the app to see the message I received. Would save me a ton of time. And no, I don't want to set on the preview of the message on the lockscreen. I don't want other people seeing my messages.

The Uber integration kinda sucks. It doesn't let you specify an exact pickup location; it uses GPS, which is rarely accurate in NYC.

If I let the phone choose my location, a car will show up on 17th St instead of 18th. I have a "Home" address entered in the Uber app, but Siri doesn't show the option.

Siri also doesn't require a destination, but the Uber app does. This means a car will come but you'll have to add the destination in the app afterwards.

Lack of exact address and destination inputs render Siri/Uber integration a parlor trick at best.

Probably your phone's settings.

It's not a setting, it's a bug. Siri has access to Uber, my time is correct and I had no Uber ride booked. It should have known there was no Uber ride booked or at least checked my last Uber trip (two weeks ago.)

I'm fine with that, nothing's perfect - especially on the first release. I'm definitely not going to screw up a booking or lose any sleep because of it.

Yep you are right, the name of the contact now appears in bold.

Also, WhatsApp audio calls appear on the "Phone" app mixed with regular calls, under the name of the contact says "WhatsApp Audio" pretty good integration, makes me wonder what else will be new in the next months.

What are you talking about? Are you even using an iPhone?
