Haven't found anything useful outside those to be honest. However, for me, I bought the Apple Watch for the fitness tracking and a nice watch overall.
Same here. I've also found no reason to replace my watch often or bother with the cellular ones. I started with series 0 and then got the series 4 which I'm currently using. I do miss the pokemon go companion app, and it disappeared right as I got the series 4 which was actually capable of running it smoothly, oh well.

Uber already removed their app from Garmin IQ, the store for wearables of that maker. The world is ending obviously.

"We no longer supporting good grammar"
I actually didn’t catch this until I read the text in the Apple Watch display in the photo.

I do want to say, though I do think it’s poor form to disrespect somebody’s grammar. Uber‘s coding/tech-support is actually based out of India and the Philippines, English is not their first language

I assume the iPhone will still hand-off Uber notifications to the Apple Watch? Most non Apple watch apps handle notifications this way.

Oh no! Imagine having to go through such hardship as reaching into your pocket for your phone instead of looking at your wrist!

When paired with some AirPods, cellular is worth it for the 1st party apps alone (phone, messages, music, podcasts, applePay, FindMy, etc). I really like being able to go out into the world and not have my phone on me, but still have basic connectivity and comforts.

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Also, when providing support to a US-based company from abroad, use spelling and grammar check.

Leaving aside the ridiculous messaging of offering it for download and having help pages saying it works when they killed it a month ago, it's weird to me that Uber wouldn't put the resources required into a watch app to make it work really well.

I assume not that many Uber users use the Watch app, but it seems like exactly the sort of thing that "hardcore" users would want, so the presumably modest investment into making a good Watch app would be worth it to keep your most savvy customers happy.

It's poor form to make fun of "somebody's" grammar, as in, an individual person who isn't necessarily a native English speaker. But one should expect proper grammar in an official communication to millions of English speakers from an American corporation, especially when that communication is only one sentence long. I sort of agree with whoever wondered if this was a hack. The grammar is so bad it looks like some kind of foreign hack. It's the sort of grammar you get in those emails asking you to transfer them $50,000 and they'll pay you back double.

Apple needs to step up it’s game with the Apple Watch. It’s also stagnating…

I get new sensors might take time. Focus needs to be: battery life, current sensor precision updates for more accurate measuring and getting apps a reason to come (back) to the Apple Watch.

The only device that truly needs an GUI revamp is the Apple Watch.

Allowing users to download and install a Watch app that upon launch asks them to, instead, use the iPhone version of the app is a real thing??? Wow.
It seems to be most watch apps, at least in my experience. Many just seem to pull data from the phone, and if the app isn’t open or running in the background, they ask you to open it or the app just appears to be constantly loading. Very few watch apps seem to be designed natively, most are just ports of their respective iPhone apps with less features.

Another app not bothering.

Third party app support, and battery life are the Apple Watch's two biggest shortcomings. As slick as the device appears to be for notifications, general health, and the wallet app, the 3rd party apps usually have pretty big misses, either needing to wait quite some time to sync with the phone app, or limited complication refresh options.

I'd assume there's adequate CPU ability in Apple Watches over the past year, but keep thinking battery drain issues are forcing API limitations thus being the biggest drawback to getting decent app support.

Frustrating, because otherwise its a pretty slick device.

Yep sadly.

Don't own a watch to develop, but every developer I follow who has apps for the watch says it is a nightmare to work with

I used the app. It’s not properly coded, however; there’s been quite a few frequent updates that tend to rectify smaller issues quickly, but seemingly there’s always another issue on top of the one that was repaired.
