It’s actually noticeable even without drawing a line.
Apple’s QC is a joke! I think it’s mostly attributed to the fact that it’s a typical corporation with high levels of turnover. They just don’t pay enough money to their regular employees. All those developers flee elsewhere.

I held a piece of paper and align it to the bottom of the notch but I don't see this issue so not a issue on iOS 12.1 beta 5

OMG, I am very OCD about this when I am making apps.

I am one of those who spend more time tweaking the x and y values more than anything else.

Has anyone considered that this changes over time? Maybe apple is actually shifting the time/wifi indicators up and down throughout the day to prevent burn in.

I would think that Apple hates forums like this.

Lucky for Apple only a small percentage of iPhone users visit or know about this forum. The average user does not know what a bezel is! OR do not care.

I’m glad I don’t, either. But I am glad that others are bothered by it and hold Apple to the highest possible standard or things would gradually become sloppy to the point you and I would notice it.

You know how it is, let people slack a millimeter, they take three millimeters and it all goes to hell! Actually it doesn’t take much deviation from tight tolerances for things to look and feel cheap and sloppy.
