Don’t know what UPS are up too! Places further south than London have deliveries, others closer don’t!

Still nothing on my tracking since 3am. Still hoping I see a magic ‘out for delivery next’

No update since it got to Castle Donington. My local delivery depot is Feltham, I now expect it to get there sunday night, and out for delivery monday

This has been one stressful week lol, with the delays, not hearing anything for 3 days, not knowing if they were able to deliver today until the last minutes lol.

It’s been awesome to chat to some of you and tracking flights half way around the world.

Always the best part! Miss this from the annual iPhone releases threads.

Just got a notification from the DHL app saying it’s out for delivery today but doesn’t say a time slot.

Do DHL not give a 1hr window for the delivery time?

It makes the unboxing and setting up that much sweeter.

My father always used to say “Everything comes to he who waits.” He also used to say that I always wanted everything ‘yesterday’. How right he was.

That's right, it was changed to Monday and only snapped back to today earlier this morning (I woke up around 4am and naturally the first thing I did was check the tracking).

One thing to note, that might be encouraging, is my UPS tracking went straight from leaving Castle Donington to being out for delivery. No arrival scans at Southampton:

I know the temptation is huge however I wouldn’t recommend messing around with anything yet.

@Jinjin will probably agree that every year on the iPhone thread people panic and change deliveries etc etc and it ends up being delayed. Unless you absolutely have to let them deliver it

Yeah don’t mess if deliveries last minutes, someone will inevitably mess it up and delay you

I’m still in two minds about just retuning it and getting a pro 16/1TB

The reviews I’ve seen show it to be great too, probably plenty for my in all honesty!

Yeah don’t mess if deliveries last minutes, someone will inevitably mess it up and delay you

So I spoke to DHL, delivery is on for today. Also managed to authorise them to leave with a neighbour. The helpful guy on the chat contacted the local depot to make sure it wouldn't delay delivery. (Had to do something as I'm going to be out from 2pm)

Now to see if all that actually happens.

Complicated by me paying with the BTO with £700 of apple vouchers from my trade in earlier this year. If I refund the BTO after I buy a stock one from store, I’ll end up with the vouchers again.

Will see how it goes next week (will probably keep the BTO)

Struggling to find a monitor that ticks my ‘ultra wide with 2 Thunderbolt inputs for picture by picture’ box. Only the Samsung CJ791 but I think it’s been discontinued via Samsung direct (can get a decent discount from them via work).

The step down from the max BTO to a stock Pro would save me £800 and pay for decent screen.

DHL update. Mine is at Heathrow, I’m 30 minutes from there. I called DHL and asked them if it is possible to go there any pickup the parcel directly, they guy said your parcel,is loaded on a van and will arrive today 🤞🏻 But it is possible to go there and pickup. So just call DHL and cancel with them
