UK Airtag orders delivery thread

My AirTag pack and red keyring say April 2021, but my partner's saddle brown keyring says August 2020 (!).
Very interesting with the 2020 dates on some of them. Certainly explains why the preorders didn't have to come from China this time around. They've been piling them up in warehouses for a while by the sounds of it.
I'm in the same boat. Fortunately I've been able to put one in my wallet and one in my backpack, but the other two I wanted to attach to my AirPods case and Keys, therefore require a keyring. I was going to bit the bullet and get an Apple one but I'm wondering if I should just wait it out. I've got some cheap ones from Amazon on their way but they won't arrive until June D:
The Belkin ones seem available for in-store pickup today at Apple Stores if you're near one.

I gave up waiting on the eBay ones as they are taking an age to arrive. I have the Spigen one which I ordered last week but they are now out of stock. The Spigen one isn’t as nice as the Apple keychain. Anyway I bit the bullet and ordered some more straight from Apple and they are only taking two days to arrive despite the stated 10 to 12 day delivery time
My AirTags were made March 21. Blue leather Keyring was April 21, Brown Leather keyring Aug 2020.
Bloody DHL. no tracking and we are running late. They must be the worse courier ever
Got my four pack a few hours ago, stuck one in a bag, was very easy to set up but I thought I'd test out the Find My network so I went out with location services disabled on my iPhone and checked up on the AirTag in Find My. It didn't update at all while I was out even though there were plenty of people walking around, plenty of cars about, etc.
I even went and turned on the location services for my work iPhone (on a separate Apple ID and updated to 14.5) and it still didn't ping an updated location to the AirTag.
Not such a promising start... hopefully that was just a fluke or something.

Yeah, I got the brown one and I won’t use the keyring because of that. I’ve already given it to my wife and I’m using the Belkin holder for mine.
Yep stole my Apple Watch last Christmas, delivery driver blamed me for reporting it lost said he delivered it to me in person.. I have a ring doorbell, he didn’t!! Same dou***bag delivered my Airtags today! I guess crime does pay cos he still has his job!
I know. I had no idea when my order was coming today. I dropped my son off at school and quickly went to Sainsbury’s before coming back in. I had planned to take my younger son to the park straight after the school run but didn’t want to chance it. I was back at 9.30 and it turned up at 9.50. It was so close lol
Had the same experience here with a DHL delivery. The idiot posted it in the wrong letterbox like 10 houses down. Rung up their so called "customer service" and they basically called me a liar because the van was on the right street. The utter ****ing moron on the phone didn't seem to understand the difference between being on the right street and delivering to the right house.
I have a Nest doorbell so I knew for a fact the DHL bloke never arrived. They didn't wanna hear it. Just kept repeating that the GPS showed I'm wrong. I said no, the GPS shows the van was on my road. It cannot possibly show that it was delivered to my door. I know it wasn't because I have a camera on the front of my house.
Eventually I just straight up said: are you calling me a liar? She said no. I said you must be, because either you have to admit your driver made a mistake, or you have think I'm lying to you, so which is it? She couldn't really answer that so fell back to the script and even had the cheek to say "we don't have to deliver it to the right person." Wtf???
Luckily it worked out okay in the end, but no thanks to DHL. The seller must be used to DHL's incompetence because when I explained the problem they immediately reshipped my order no questions asked and I got it next day. Plus the person who got the original order came to my door a week later and handed it to me.
Still taught me a lesson about DHL I won't be forgetting.
Yep, my 4 pack turned up with the Apple blue keyring. Water transfer paper and spray gloss turning up tomorrow to customise the white side.
The aperture on the Apple leather keyring seems to be bang on 25mm and the metal side, which protrudes ever so slightly but fits flush with the hole in the keyring and produces a feel of great quality.
I also noticed, whilst taking measurements with a metal ruler, that AirTags are slightly magnetic and will stick to things but I wouldn't hold out hope that they would stay on something if it was a bumpy ride... expensive fridge magnet?

Mine were delivered by DHL today, I received a text message in the morning with a 1 hour time slot and the URL to track. I assume both of you didn't receive the same.
Mine arrived today, though must admit I was a bit surprised when I opened it. I asked about the engraving via online support before ordering, and was told that if you chose custom engraving, that would replace the Apple logo.
Obviously that's not the case though, as the engraving goes on the white plastic part, and the Apple logo is still present on the metal side. Doesn't bother me at all, just wasn't what I was expecting.
