(UK) Anyone upgrading Series 3 to Series 4? If so, what are you doing with your S3?

So being an Apple Watch owner for only the last year (LTE series 3 Stainless Steel Space Black 42mm), the watch has been great for me. Seeing the leaks for S4, I'm sold on the idea of the larger display so will be changing my S3 for an S4.

Any others in this situation?

Been looking at the best way to maximise my return on my current phone with the following options.

Both Envirofone and Mazuma are offering £295 and £280 respectively. Apple themselves don't seem to current accept the series 3 for trade in, I assume that will change later in the week when S4 is out.

looking at sale values on eBay, a few models have gone for ~£330, given the £40 or so in fees that would be due and the additional hassle, I've 'secured' the envirofone offer for 14 days.

tempted to try facebook market place and see how that goes, but assume it will be similar hassle as eBay (minus the fees!)
 
Tempted by the 4, I use for sports mainly so if there is significant improvement I will go for it. Have a space grey alu gps only, not sure what I’ll get for it. Sometimes eBay has max selling fee offer capped at £1.
If the 4 is a ‘meh’ improvement (I’m not bothered about the screen size) might try and pick up a SS series 3 for cheap.

My S3 AW Nike+ will be going to my good lady (along with my iPhone X - hopefully). Looking to get her away from Android & Fitbit at long last!

Sold my series 3 gps last week for $280. If the new watch brings nothing much I’ll just buy a used series 3 god plus cellular.
 
i sold my S3. now will be deciding tomorrow if its worth to get S4 or i should get S3 again!
 
I plan on selling the edition.
S3 SBSS and SS will be held on to for dressy occassions.

When in a suit I don’t see the need for a full fledged Apple Watch.
 
I have an offer of £300 from o2 recycle for my series 3, stainless, 42mm. I didn’t think that was horrendous. I note is has now dropped down to £240
 
I'm gonna put it round my cats neck rather than using a standard collar. That way i can track it's position, and how many calories it burns laying about all day. Hopefully will be able to use the new walkie talkie feature to tell it when its dinner time


edit: obviously i don't expect my cat to be able to call me back using the walkie talkie app. I'm not stupid

Ouch, they seem to offer me the same amount as envirofone for mine £295. Locked in with them so will see how tomorrow pans out

Well if you’ve got the cellular model at least it can call you when it’s stuck in your neighbours cat flap

I'm still deciding whether to sell or not, I've a 33mm SS (black), and I may go for the 4 if the changes are significant. However, I the resale value is a bit rubbish, so I might end up waiting another year.

Where are you selling it?
 
I purchased a series 0 about six months after it became available. I bought a series 2 about six months after it became available. I plan to purchase a series 4 in about six months.

I will dispose of my series 2 watches the same way I did my series 0, I will give it away to whatever member of my extended family wants it.
 
I know it’s not quite the same, but I just sold my S2 Watch on eBay for £210.
Very happy with that, and hoping that’ll pay around 50% of the new S4.
 
I've always been a keep the watch all black and discrete.. but the more I see the gold with white band from the leaks the more I like it! anyone else going for gold?

OK the Apple website just updated and you can value your Watch Series 3 for trade in. Mine gets me $229. I'll take it. The new Watch Series 4 I want is $529, minus the trade in, I will be paying $300 for new watch.
 
Here is my dilemma, I have Apple Watch S3 with cellular on contract with EE.

I think I can sell it, but I would assume I can’t just ‘swap the sim’ to my new phone.

Plus the watch I want is £529 (jeez)
