I was going to upgrade then found out the UK doesn’t have ECG enabled

What else is the upgrade going to give you that the S3 with new watch OS doesn’t

I will upgrade to series 4 once the ECG and advanced features become available in the U.K.

Bigger watch face, newer model/slight change to design

What are the ‘advanced’ features that are missing?

Sorry, meant advanced health features, the extra heart rate monitoring and alerts. Basically all the stuff that needs approval from the medical boards.

Ah get ya, thought I was missing something. I reckon that the EU will make this hard to approve in the UK.

I think if I did an ECG on my phone and took it to my doctor, he’d laugh at me and spend NHS money by sending me for another appointment - even if they did gain approval

what! no ECG for UK? does anyone know if this is hardware limited or software for UK series 4?

I've got a series 1 and was planning on getting a series 4.

Presume it’s to do with different regulatory processes. Bit of a shame though, as that was a massive feature.

In two minds about getting the S4, my S3 is perfectly good but I do love that new design. Have locked in £205 for my LTE aluminium, would only get the GPS this time around but it’s still a £200 upgrade with the price increase. Not sure yet.

Where did you get £205 from?

No EGC is a massive missing point for me, and make up part of the additional cost of the S4. I suspect we'll get it but until they can prove in the UK it works accurately. Given how often my S3 missed my HB when running i am sceptical they'll get the approvasl any time soon.

You on EE I take it?
Nope, had planned on switching but Vodafone offered me a deal which was too good not to take, so just ended up using the LTE watch without LTE turned on.

To be honest, I mainly bought it because of the ceramic back, 16GB storage and because it was bundled with the Sport Loop which I wanted anyway. There don't seem to be any differences like that this year.

Must admit, I don’t think I could live without the cellular now.

To upgrade early with EE gonna cost me £248, so basically £40. BUT I don’t know the cost of the watch yet.

Then there is an option of buying it outright, but then there is the question that would they allow me to ‘switch’ my e-sim

Anyone know how I lock in the valuation on music magpie? Do I have to actually place the order or just save it in basket?

Was delayed watching the keynote and only just watched the replay. £749 for the stainless steel is a lot. Looks like AppleCare prices up too

Apple trade in prices for the watch are awful. £100 less than the £295 I’ve locked in with envirofone

How much can you sell a Series 1 Gold Edition for now? ;)
I never understood them at launch and I guess Apple couldn't find a market for them either.

Smart people don't always make smart decisions but Apple do get much more right than wrong and these new watches look nice.
