I think if I did an ECG on my phone and took it to my doctor, he’d laugh at me and spend NHS money by sending me for another appointment - even if they did gain approval
That's exactly what i think- i believe it will take some time before doctors in the UK take a feature like this seriously.

If the watch highlighted something significant then, even if the doctor repeated the test, an early detection would still be the outcome.

Well yes, a 12 lead ECG yields more data compared to a Lead 1 ECG.

The ECG done by AW only detects Atrial Fibrillation, hospital ECG detects and shows a lot more.

I think I can sell it, but I would assume I can’t just ‘swap the sim’ to my new phone.
I’m presuming you just cancel the old eSIM and set up a new one.

It’s not like the number was shared with anyone else so that shouldn’t inconvenience the user?

Not about the number, its the fact the eSIM has a number and dataplan linked to it which I pay for, which is in turn linked to the watch. Its not like a physical SIM which can be taken out and swapped

I'll likely be getting a Series 3 to replace my ever slower Series 0. The Series 4 doesn't currently have ECG in the UK, and my carrier doesn't offer a cellular service, so a GPS series 3 is the right balance I think.

Thanks for the heads up, got offered £130 for my series 2 42mm, best I’ve been offered from the various places I’ve been (Apple, Mazuma, Envirofone, O2 Recycle).

Dont forget the code GET5MORE for £5 more, plus if someone recommends you, you both get another £5

I am a very spoiled mom. My daughter bought me my aluminum Series 3 with cellular last year. She's going to buy me the new one, and she will have the old one. I was 50 this year so I'm excited for bigger screen, louder speaker.

Sure, I have that too. I am expecting to just cancel the plan on my S3 and getting a new plan on the S4. Who ever uses the S3 next will link it to their account.

What difficulties are you anticipating?

You obviously don’t have much experience with EE customer service

From last year October 2017, I've been using Apple watch 3 Nike+ for 3 months + 2 weeks then i got skin rash due LED lights burns my skin. Gave to my AW3 to apple store - they held it for a month for the investigation before they gave me a full refund and no compensation give out :(. Now i've ordered AW4 Nike + hopefully that won't burn my skin again - i've notice they are using Single LED light.

After some thought I’ve decided to stick with my series 3 but change from alu to SS so if anybody wants to offload theirs let me know.

Had it in my basket this morning, but decided not to upgrade my S3 yet. It's a fair bit of money and the only real change is the bigger screen since ECG isn't available here.

Might end up getting one second hand for a discount in a few months, or just keep it until S5. I upgraded my S0 last year as I had a dead pixel and the battery didn't last a day, but I'm perfectly content with the performance of my current watch, so it's a want rather than a "need" (to the extent that anyone "needs" an Apple Watch...).

EE have posted on their community site saying that it will be straightforward to migrate the data plan from S3 to S4...

If you purchase an Apple Watch Series 4 from another retailer, you just need to unpair the Apple Watch Series 3 from your phone and select 'keep plan' when doing so.

When you then pair the Apple Watch Series 4, you should get the option to carry on the plan.
