The box will say, credit will be applied to eligible purchases only.

Something like that, if applied correctly. You can test it and see, should still be working.

Arranging a return of my 38mm and getting a 42mm instead, mate has the 42mm and it feels and looks a lot nicer, gone through very's automated system to return it and they will collect it Thursday but not got any email confirmation yet.

Sorry, can you elaborate please, not quite sure what you mean by "The box will say, credit will reapplied to eligible purchases only." I have ordered a 38mm Series 3 for my daughter for Christmas, but didn't get any confirmation about the 20% cash back.

When you put in the code you should see an extra option appear before you purchase the watch to do with the cash back and I have yet to get an email as well confirming this.

Dealing with Very is interesting trying to state I cannot return it as I have used it for a day or two and it's outside of their home approval guarantee but the second I quoted the distance selling act and it's consumer law to return an item within 14 days they quickly back tracked.

They did state that I could be charged so unsure how they could even do this under consumer law but hey.

Mine came today. I noted - not sure if it was on the red label sealing the outer bag or on their site somewhere - that it doesn’t qualify for THEIR returns policy once it’s been activated. As you rightly say, I couldn’t give a rats ass what their policies are - the law is the law.
As an aside - I think you said earlier that you’d got a message confirming the cash back - when did that arrive?

No confirmation of any cash back yet, and precisely Very are not above the law although I can feel a world of pain coming soon!

Nah. You’ll be alright. Stick to your guns. Everything mail order is covered under distance selling regs, apart from a few specifics - software and knickers, mostly :)
[doublepost=1511184114][/doublepost]Just paired mine and synced it.

Tried to activate the EE and it didn’t work - telling me to ring 150. Wasn’t surprised as I have 3 lines on my account and wondered if the system would know which line to apply it to.

Tried again an hour later and the process worked flawlessly.

Amazing bit of kit. Am updating to 4.1 now..

They are refusing to accept any return because I have opened/used the apple watch and it does not meet their home approval guarantee, quoted the DSR and UK consumer law and it fell on death ears.

I don't mind the 38mm and equally concerned that the credit won't be applied to my account and will need to pay full price.

Found it. Have you installed / connected it?

Yeah I gave it a quick go but was unaware that their policy trumps UK law!?
I’m sure it doesn’t but you might have to play a game of ‘who blinks first’..
if you can afford to leave it in its box whilst you threaten them with small claims you’d deffo win. What a shame. As someone said above, this seems to their standard business practice.

I gave up in the end as they confirmed the discount code has been applied to the account and I don't really want the hassle of trying to return it, getting charged etc.

Me too. Just got mine. I reckon you could always sell yours on and not lose much with the 20% Discount?

Got an e-mail from Very today confirming that the 20% will be credited to my account by 28/12 so all looks legit to me. This is a fantastic deal not just for the Watch but for anyone wanting to buy any Apple product over £159. Allows you 12 months interest free and 20% off the price!!

Still no email here :(

Just bitten the bullet. Got a 42mm SS S3, coming from the S0 so should be quite the leap!

As long as everything checks out okay, never used very before  haha how long did all the emails etc. take?

Ordered on 20/11 and got e-mail confirmation confirming 20% discount on 21/11. Worth noting that I already had a Very account so don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Seems like a good price with the 20% off. I went for a couple of S3 Nike+ 42mm. In setting up the credit account to get the discount, it decided I was very dodgy and offered me a credit limit just below the basket price, which threw them into a flat spin ;-) Eventually, I had to make a payment onto the account to bring it down (even though after discount it was well below the limit).

I notice that a few of the non-Nike ones now have a little note saying that they will go down in price on Friday, but that was after the 20% deal finished so I just went for it. Like others waiting for dispatch to check that the credit appears.

Ordered on 16/11 - delivered 20/11 (after the weekend) and email confirming ‘20% will be applied before 28/12’ arrived later the same day.

Ordered on Tuesday and arrived today (against a promise of by next Tuesday) so happy to have two new Nike+ all set up for the weekend. Still awaiting the e-mail re: 20% but that may be triggered when they are notified of delivery?

Did you get the email? My Watch got delivered yesterday but haven't heard anything yet...
