I missed the fact that they're taking orders from today as I had to step out of the room and when I realised and checked online, I was surprised to see that delivery was the 23rd-25th and assumed that launch date had already sold out. However I noticed that I could order for store pick up on the 20th so I've done that. I won't be picking up until the evening as I'm working away that day so can't get back until late. I've gone for the base model, "Series 5 GPS + Cellular, 44mm Space Grey Aluminium Case with Anchor Grey Sport Loop"
I've got a launch day cellular S3 at the moment and the battery is now less than stellar. I wear it all the time except while I'm in the bathroom in the morning and then I top it back up to 100% before I go to bed. It's dropping more and more each day so it's taking longer to charge in the mornings and evenings so I'm really looking forward to what I hope is better battery live on the S5.
I wonder if it'll be possible to switch the always-on screen back to how it used to work and if so, whether that'll increase battery life.

Ordered a GPS + Cellular, 44mm Space Grey Aluminium Case, with Midnight Strap for Pickup on the 20th. Waited long enough from the S2 so now is the time.
Nearly went for an SS but the watches just don't keep the value unfortunately for a regular upgrade. I did notice that some of the Milanese straps have dropped in price to £99 I thought they used to be £150 so might get the wife to treat me to one of those.

Chose a sport band with my SS SB and it's coming on the 20th. If I'd chosen the larger size strap it showed delivery between the 23rd and 25th.
Should be able to order without a strap by now, most folk have a favourite or selection of straps now.

I'm looking at the SG Aluminium with the black leather. However I can't order yet as I sold an old MacBook Pro to Apple Trade In last week and I'm waiting for the gift card to arrive for it.
That said I'm wondering about waiting until launch day and then going to an Apple store to try both the black leather and the Milanese loop. I've always liked both but want to kind of try before I buy.
Either way the S5 will be an upgrade from my S2

Ordered a Silver Aluminium 40mm one with a normal blue strap (which I might return) and the same one with the Anchor Grey sports band. Not sure how the anchor grey one will look as I originally wanted the Summit White sports loop that’s on the Nike edition.
it seems as if most people here are going for the space grey one which is something I’m tempted to do... ultimately went for the silver one. Also upgrading from Series 0 so this will be a HUGE upgrade for me.
Delivery was also 23-25th so I just reserved for instore pick-up on the 20th.

I ordered the S5 44mm Silver Aluminium GPS with Sept 20th delivery. I went for the white sport band to get it delivered on the 20th as I want to use it when I’m running a half marathon on the 22nd. The band wasn’t a big deal for me as I have a good collection of them (currently using the black Nike Sport Loop).

I got a copy of the milanese loop for £20 from Amazon for my S0 and I've worn it every day for 3 years, still as good as new and you can't tell it apart from the Apple ones, happy to pay Apple over the odds for the stuff others can't replicate (hardware/software), but bands, straps and cases are not in that category, go elsewhere.
didn't watch the keynote till later this evening and the space black titanium arrives 4-11 oct 🙁
will see if I can get any walk in when I (hopefully) get the pro next Friday.

Try different strap combos I found it was the leather strap delaying the titanium orders
had a quick look and the sport bands do bring the dates in to 23-25th Sept. Shame as I've already got an unused one so don't want to double up. I think I'll just have to wait.. about to post off my series 4 which I sold on eBay yesterday so the wrist will be bare for a few weeks!
will be good to see the titanium up close, the stainless steel space black would be my backup option and that looks plentiful. Hoping to compare the watches when I go to pick up phone next Friday (assuming I snag one for release day!)

Have just swapped my aluminium for a stainless steel black model, just don’t feel I would have been happy with the aluminium coming from a stainless steel series 3

Your choice of course, but the first watch I had was SS. Since then I have had all aluminium. To be honest, now I do not think I would go back, in my opinion not worth the extra £300.
