Apple Watch Series 8 now delivered, just waiting for amazon to deliver a pack of screen protectors now.
Wow my starlight alpine loop Ultra says delivery 29th Sep - 4th Oct but just checked the Apple Store app and it has been shipped and one hour DPD delivery window is this evening! 😳😃
Took the alpine band off to take the photo. So aw7 on the right and my 6s pro in the middle.

The irony is I am a marathon runner, so the Ultra's features would be perfect for me!
Mine has arrived it is quite small compared to my old current watch!

do you rotate the display? I wear the watch on the right too but I reverse it so the crown is on the left (i.e. facing my hand)
Yep - I’ve been finding my hand/wrist has been long pressing a lot and Siri will happily shout out it doesn’t understand in the middle of meetings, films (at home)…
It's big but I think it looks better in person.
My quick take on the Ultra having had it since 08:30 this morning:
The weight - even with the alpine strap it weighs more than my Stainless Steel S6
The screen - absolutely glorious
The design - superb in the hand, it really is a quality bit of kit and I can't wait to abuse it
The size - I have a 175mm wrist and it just about covers my wrist completely, any slimmer and you will have overhang
Can't wait to have a proper fiddle with complications and screen later on.

I have a 180mm wrist which puts me in range of both medium and large alpine loop I think. I went for large and think it paid off as it puts the buckle further around so will not rub on desk or laptops etc.some more on wrists shots please folks!
I love mine. Think it’s a great fit and also really happy I went with the Green Alpine instead of the Black/Grey Trail. Also, I would say I have a skinny wrist at what I think is 165mm.
