I really hope we get it in the first wave of release, my only concern is the Apple store having enough in stock. Every time i go to the Apple store when an new iPhone is released they never have any in stock, in fact i have never been able to buy one from an Apple store I've always had to buy online.

I'm just waiting until March the 9th now to find out the price :D and keeping my fingers crossed that the Stainless Steel version i want won't be over £1000
I think the Iphone six was different there was lots of stock and very easy to purchase on launch day. I was visiting Canada and picked one up at a mall in Mississagua with a wait of no more than an hour in line.

You really willing to pay that much? Myself I can't see going over £500. I just can't justify myself paying close to £1000 for it while the only difference is the metal and glass used on it. Sport may be what I will get this time and see where it goes on the future with other versions.

Agree with your pricing, even £ 500 is higher than I think it will be, its like a crazy auction site here, with people getting carried away with even higher and higher bids.

I'm willing to go up to that anount, I plan on keeping the Watch for a couple of years. The reason I say £1000 is because John Gruber has said he can see prices rising to that amount, of course I would like it if I could get a SS one for around £500. Also I planon getting the SS link bracelet which people are saying will be expensive.

Indeed, but he's an Idiot :D

Haven't people said he's very accurate and has inside knowledge of Apple? I do hope he's wrong tho and the Watches are cheaper than what he's said.

He hasn't got any inside knowledge, he's just guessing the prices based on conversations with his friends in the tech blogging world...

...For months I’ve been asking friends who might know — or know someone else who might know, or even know someone who knows someone who might know...

We'll know exactly how accurate his guesswork is in 8 days time. :)

It's not just the watch body itself but the straps. And some people are willing to pay more than others. I'd pay up to £5-600.

Oh ok.....I'm sure I read somewhere that he had inside knowledge in Apple because Steve Jobs brought him Into Apples inner circle. That's why I thought what he was saying was a little more than guess work. So basically he's just guessing with his friends on how much the Apple Watch could cost.

I take back what I said about the UK launch. I'm 50/50 on whether this Selfridges thing is just going to be a one off display to advertise the watches or a place to actually buy them--at least by the US launch date.

The fact that Apple.com/watch and Apple.com/uk/watch say something different has me thinking it could be delayed for us.

I've just seen this magazine article for here in the UK.

http://9to5mac.com/2015/03/01/apple-watch-makes-uk-magazine-debut-with-three-page-feature-in-style/

Interesting that Apple are going all out on this to get it in magazines.

Haha that magazine suggests the term "wristie" for a selfie taken with a smartwatch ("the wristie will have to wait"). Let's hope that doesn't ever become a thing ;)

Yes, and what's interesting is that's in the UK. Therefore, this gives another strong hint it could be available in the UK at the same time. Why would they market it here if it's not going to be available at the same time?

Yea that's what I was thinking, we might get it at the same time as the US, it would be good. Guess we will find out on the 9th.

I was convinced at the start the launch would be US only given its a brand new product category and that's what Apple did with the iPhone and iPad along with the difference between the U.S./UK website start dates.

The Selfridges pop up store being built now along with the advertising in a UK magazine has convinced me that we'll either see a launch alongside or shortly after.

Only 8 more days to find out. #ShutUpAndTakeMyMoney

Yes, If say, it wasn't coming until May, I doubt they'd be doing so much promotion at the moment.

Words mean something and this is on Apple's site so they are Apple's words. So until Apple speaks again...

But as others have pointed out to you, early 2015 is in 2015. Now if other Apple sites were saying late 2015, it would be a different story. We will find out in just over a week, and surely I hope you are wrong ;)

I was about to stick with my predictions that AW will be a strategic time-zones centric release in many parts of the world, I am not sure now after finding out that there is no Apple Store in Moscow / Dubai / Doha and many other parts of the world yet. Though they could set-up and make deals with some luxury jewelry stores in those part of the world which do not have Apple Stores.

However, with the most recent rumors/news at the front page about preparations being made at a luxury retail store in London, I would say, UK is also a lock or included in the initial wave of roll-out.

Anything is possible now as they are probably more ready than they cautiously anticipated, meaning an "Early 2015" AW launch for some strategic markets (not just USA).

And as I pointed out to them, and you, words have meaning. "Early 2015" means sometime around the first quarter 2015. "2015" means sometime during the year. Therefore, one can logically conclude, the U.S. release will DEFINITELY occur around then. One cannot make that conclusion about "2015." There is no arguing about it. It COULD happen, but it's not definite, and probably won't given how Apple is planning it or they would have stated "Early 2015 on the UK site. So expect U.S. launch, then a 2nd roll out weeks or a month later.Understand now?

Yes, because, if Apple releases it May 1st in UK, it's now 'Mid 2015'.

I personally think that with the London Pop-Up Shop and with the article in paper today, it seems they are readying it to come soon.

There you have it, you are now back to what we all are saying. We are not arguing that it's not early 2015 for US, we are saying juts because on other non US sites it says 2015 does not automatically mean it won't be released same time as US. I personally think it will be US, Canada, UK, France and Germany first. The rest a month or so later. But surely I could be wrong.
