Just a thought... why would they prepare my iMac for shipment today, when they are delivering ON (by) jan 8-9?? It only takes about a week to get it delivered...:)

Guys,
I trust Apple but mass-producing something like an iMac requires a solid supply chain in place, and the way it looks to me as of know is things are being a little too much on the "last-minute-solve-the-problem" side. Not good for reliability.

We'll see.

Apple are known globally for their supply chain/logistics. Occasionally there are shortages because demand far outstrips supply, but they manage their resources & suppliers very well, they aren't magicians though.

Looking like its on its way now :)

How do u get that info - all I can get is the date of delivery when I try to track it

I too have identical tracking. Still think it'll be Monday earliest though.

Mine is from the UPS website, entering the tracking number from the Apple shipping page should bring up all the info.

Tomorrow might be hitting Heathrow. Then the day after tomorrow, delivered (I live in London).
Seems totally possible!

You need to check who the carrier is in the Apple tracking info they give you and then go to the Carrier's website and put in the tracking number.

My carrier is UPS. Luckily the local UPS depot is only a couple of miles away so should be easy enough to pick up if I miss the delivery. When the iPad one was launched I picked mine up the night before direct from the UPS depot so if my iMac arrives before the estimated delivery of Monday I might try and pick it up from the depot beforehand.

It does in fact.

Ha someone posted their MacBook Air shipping and it went shanghai, Korea, Kazakhstan, then UK. Didn't know if there would be similar pattern.

No don't jinx it!
Guess we'll find out tomorrow. Korea or Heathrow...

Ha, did seem a little bizarre. Saying that, Monday is best for me as I work every day out and about and I'm in London on Saturday (funnily enough) so wouldn't be able to get it if its a day early!

iMac on its way.

27" 2.9GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 8Gb 1TB Fusion Drive.
Ordered on 30th Nov sometime in the morning, can't remember.
Been marked as delivery 27-28th until today.

Now shipping for delivery by or on 20th.

Well done Apple, christmas present for my son, so well pleased.

Under promise and over achieve, works every time.

Cheers,

Terry

No I'd rather Friday or tuesday. I have my annual review on monday. Waited a whole year for this meeting.

Spoke too soon it seems. As of 8:06am, it's in Incheon, KR!

Yes I just saw!
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope the annual review goes well (nice bonus perhaps, help towards the iMac - or in Clark Griswold case, a swimming pool!)
