I really hope that I will get it before the weekend too. Otherwise it's going to be a painful weekend for me. The 48 hour weekend will certainly feel like a week.
Mine came though heathrow. Says its on route from croydan as of 8:30am this morning
This is my first ever Mac, I have always had a windows PC in the past. (decided to change to match iphone and ipad) Probably get it unpacked and on the desk and have no idea what to do with it. Will be fun learning it all again.
Nice, when was it shipped out from China?
Mine was shipped the 14:th of dec, haven't been able to track it but when I called Apple yesterday (18:th of dec) it was in Luxembourg.
And should move to Venray in Holland for merging and then delivery to me in Sweden.
It shipped from China to Korea on the 15th and flew to London Heathrow yesterday.
My 5 year old iMac 24 died in September and I held off getting a new one due to the rumours that just seemed to go on and on and on. It has been a very, very painful 4 months without one. I'm just hoping my Time Machine back up works smoothly as it should setting up the new one with all my old stuff.
Good luck getting to grips with the system coming from PC. It's easy and a million times better. You have done the right thing.
Update:
Unpacked. No signs of damage to packing (even the outer brown box is relatively unscathed!) and iMac itself is flaw-free.
It felt rather cold so I thought it better to let it warm up a bit closer to room temperature. I also I had a conference call at 9:30-11:00 so I have only just booted her up.
Very fast boot (I have the 768GB SSD
). Tested the screen with black, white, red, green and blue images and no sign of any dead or stuck pixels (my old iMac and one dead red pixel right in the middle of the screen)The backlight is very even (no yellow/grey patches) and no sign of backlight bleed (in ambient light, not tested in the dark, but then I don't use it in the dark).
The screen does look a lot sharper and more vibrant that my old 2008 iMac.
So I am VERY pleased

Still waiting on news. Expected delivery on mine is 20th Dec.
Mine has just been delivered, all unpacked and no damage, doing the same as SMR, i am going to let it warm up a little before booting up.

I think unpacking and letting it sit at room temperature for a while is a good thing. I will be doing the same once it has arrived.
What does this status mean?
My estimate delivery date is still January 2nd. I really need it before Xmas or right after (gift for my wife).
Is it possible?? Does any logistic company work on Dec 24-26th??

You won't get a tracking number until it is handed over to apple and gets to the hub, should get better tracking around 9/10pm tonight
