UK & EU 27 inch Delivery Thread

Criky by looking at the slow progress of those who ordered far earlier than me its gonna be a long wait. I feel like The product wasnt ready for the masses but the whole pre order bollocks got us hooked.
My delivery status atm
I ordered my 27" iMac at 2:44 pm (Norwegian time). It was shipped on December 12th. Yesterday it was in Oslo and handed over from TNT to our Norwegian postal service for delivery on Christmas Eve (Dec 24th). Whoopee!! Since we open our presents on the 24th here, that is some Christmas-prezzie, folks!
This is the Mac I ordered:

Well I woke up at 8:00 pm and then I saw it. It must have happened in the night. Wonder how long it takes to shipped.

Mine is shipping to the Netherlands and yours? i hope it gets here early
Well I tried ringing Apple Store Customer Services to see why UPS has delayed shipment for a week, but that was no help at all. It is a semi automated service so you don't get to talk to anyone and it just cuts you off after a couple of minutes. If I was a new Apple customer I wouldn't be impressed. Then again it was more promising than UPS which only allowed me to track a package.
Having failed to speak to a human being I've emailed contactus.uk@euro.apple.com in the hope that at least someone at Apple will realise what a mess UPS are making. Not sure it will make any difference as suspect no one will read it until 27th at the earliest by which time it will have missed the original shipping date. However I don't want to make too big a deal of this as appreciate there are other 30 November orders that haven't even shipped yet. Just very disappointed

Just spoke to Apple (ask to speak to an advisor) and they said that there has been a delay, but no info on what the delay actually was - but guessed it was probably the weather?. But he kept saying that there are no other problems and it should reach me by the 3rd!!!!

At any point you can say to the system 'I want to speak to someone' and it will put you through to a real person. Saying that, if it's in the hands of UPS now, there's not much Apple will be able to do to speed them up!

That is where mine is on it's way to. And then it gets on another plane to London Heathrow.
At which stage do you get your UPS (or other courier) tracking? Do you get sent another email? Mine should touch down in the UK tomorrow night.

Well I finally managed to speak to a very helpful American lady at Apple who has looked into the whole delay aspect at UPS. The delay appears to be around the customs check which for the UK is done at the UPS warehouse in Cologne. Once the iMac clears customs it will ship to the UK. UPS has put the date as 3 January to cover delays because of the holidays but if it clears customs earlier then it will ship to the UK straight away. The advice was to keep an eye on the UPS tracking to see if it will ship earlier. Thanks for the tip of asking to speak to an advisor as it really makes a difference.

The question was for anyone who has had their tracking, at which stage did you get it?
Update: My Mac departed from Koeln some hours ago. I guess i'ts finally headed for Italy.
I guess a 24th December delivery like stated on UPS' website is very likely!
