UK/Europe order/delivery thread MBA 2012

Yep I have it here, no time to get going with it until this evening. I called apple to change the address on Thursday and they didn't action it until today, luckily I phoned UPS this morning and knew where it was going.

Apple just phoned me to tell me this, and after I had a bit of a rant that I'd deliberately phoned them whilst it was still in customs yet nothing was done until today I am getting a £30 apology :)

I've had it out of the box to check for no dings lol but not started it up. I will have a fun evenings once the kids gave gone to bed!

i dont rightly recall but i think mine cleared UK customs on Tuesday and i recieved it on Thursday

i also cant check my UPS Tracking number but i think it start "1ZW.." was about 10-15 charaters longs

Mine is 18 characters (I saved it in the notes iPad app and it brought up the tracking page when I clicked on it)

Downloading ML on it as we speak. Well i've not seen a mac for nearly 20 years lol one lion to another will make no difference to me!

15, 18 same thing lol

i must say coming from the PC world ML install was the easiest thing i have ever done, safari even opened the same pages i was looking at after it had installed!!

gone are the says fo windows with 2 hours load times and having absolutely nothing left on your machine after an OS install lol
 
My order just landed to Amsterdam. Any change it'll make it's way to Sweden before the weekend? I'm guessing UPS will be in charge for the rest of the transport.

It has to pass customs first. And did you order anything else with it? Then it has to merge first in Eindhoven before it's shipped off to Sweden. So no, it most likely won't arrive before the weekend.
 
I ordered a 13" 128gb with 8gb RAM on 29th July, it's about to fly from Shanghi to London and is due for delivery to me on 8th August.

It's now trough customs? I didn't order anything with it except that it comes with the gift card to the App store. I guess it should be quit fast now that it gets out to UPS? Now showing "Ready for delivery".

Gift card = merging
Ready for delivery = delivery to Apple's merging facility, not to you

What's the delivery window Apple gave you in the email when your order shipped?
 
Ordered mine early on the 31st. It's still "processing", so I can see I've a long wait ahead of me. (Estimated arrival says next Tues - Thurs but I'm just hoping for Friday at this point).

The problem is that little cancel button looks so very tempting as I try to convince myself that I could live with an off-the-shelf model from the shops.

That wait is not nice but it's worth it when it finally arrives. I just had to steel myself with the fact I'm keeping this for 3+ years, I will have to cope for the week or so!

Luckily it's just changed to Preparing for Shipment... no more cancel button to tempt me any more LOL!

Yeah, I was told this is my LAST computer for several years so I decided it was worth future-proofing as much as I could.

Yeah, it seems so. Now Expeditors says that it's completed and delivery has been handed to consignee.

Finally got my 'BTO' 11'' air but not opened it yet as at work :(

My ordered merged with a student voucher so was probably a couple of days slower than usual

For those who care....

Ordered: 29th July PM with estimated delivery 7th - 9th August
Preparing to ship: 1st AM
Shipped: 2nd AM
Scheduled on Virgin flight to London: 4th AM (Sat)
Landed UK: 4th PM (Sat)
Cleared Customs: 5th PM (Sun)
Out for delivery: 6th AM
Delivered to Apple: 6th AM
Provided UPS shipping info & est. delivery changed to 7th: 6th PM
Delivered: 7th AM

Shanghai - London - Manchester :)
 
Just read through this whole thread, which has been interesting to say the least lol. It seems like most people got their MBA's within 10 days, which is not too bad!

I ordered my 11" BTO on August 9th and the estimated delivery is August 22-24 which seems like ages away. Hopefully i'll get it a bit earlier, but two things make me doubt it: it has to be merged with a student voucher, and the days before the estimated delivery is a weekend, and as far as I know most couriers don't do deliveries on weekends here, so I'm just going to have to be patient!
 
Jumping in here really late, but I ordered a MBA 13/i7/256/8gb on 05/09, it finally shipped today after sitting in Preparing to Ship for days. Originally, it said that it would arrive on the 12th. Now it changed to the 19th, so I called Apple.

They said that it was being sent from China to Prague on a SHIP! Has anyone heard of them still using Schenker rather than the Air versions: expo/k+n?? I tracked the 8xxxxxxxxx number on expo and it shows a package booked to go from Shanghai to Prague starting today. Maybe the apple service person was just behind the times, and that's actually it?
 
I'm waiting for some news from last night but no movement .... what is happening about you? seems to be locked in Germany. I'm from Italy.
