Fingers crossed. Did JL have stock?

Seemed to have lots of stock but given the posts above your advice re keeping the one with debris under the screen is starting to sound like a good plan. I'll see what the JL one is like and decide then.

It's expensive but have 2 on the go and keep the best. I have an rMini 128 cellular and an Air 128 cellular to return to the Apple Store. My credit card's taken a bit of a battering whilst trying to find decent quality devices.

I'm in the same boat, got mine from JL with the price match but thinking of returning due to the yellow screen near the home button. Did the Apple store take your existing one before they ordered the replacement ? I mean , were you able to test the new one before you gave up the old one?

I was able to keep my old one until the new one arrived. When I went to pick it up, they tried to rush me a bit, but they did let me look at it before they took the old one away. If they try & rush you, just insist you want to look at it first.

On Tuesday night I noticed that PC world/Currys online were selling the rMini iPad's with cash back deals, so ordered a rMini iPad cell 64GB. Arrived last night and in perfect condition, no yellowing on the screen. Interestingly both were DLXLR the same code, I guess it could be just down to bad luck! My first order was via the Apple online store direct.

My DLXLR week 48 (December) 128gb cellular rMini I got from Apple online is perfect. Bizarrely the one I got from the Apple Store was a DLXLL week 43 (October!!) and was badly yellow.

I've had my Retina Mini for about a week now and it's everything I wanted improved on the regular mini and more.

I don't personally mind the screen and find the resolution difference is astounding compared to the old model. The improvements in speed I feel are immense also.

I can't imagine what Apple will do to top both the Air and Mini Retina but I've got to say I'm interested on how they will further perfect these things as they are pretty much perfect in all ways as they are today.

Kudos Apple.

Just a big iPod touch I remember murmuring back in the day..... How wrong I was! :D

I said the same! I bought a Motorola Xoom instead of an iPad 2 initially. That went well. Got the iPad 2 anyway and hooked from that point.

UK iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Thread

Anyone had to return an Air to John Lewis? Not because it was faulty but because they changed their mind? Any hassles?

No but they are usually pretty reasonable and they have a 90 day return for change of mind policy. And if you order online you have 7 days by law to return.

strictly if bought instore the return to JL should be unused ..otherwise it is at their disretion.

this is all written up on the returns section of thier website.

good luck
