E sims have been around for a while. Why are networks so slow at implementing them (with the exception of EE)?

I've got an eSim on O2. Have had for about 9 months.

Vodafone UK don’t. One of the reasons I left them and went back to EE. That and the lack of visual voicemail.

What watch did you go for? My Blue series 6 kept me going until the iPhone event hopefully the MagSafe charger will keep me happy until the pro max pre order 😀

Blue case with navy sport band. Series 6. I wanted the braided loop but with 6 to 8 weeks delivery I was like nah

So those on Three - do you need to a “5G sim“ or, as their website suggests, should any any existing 3 sim work ? There’s some reference to an automatic software update (carrier settings update ?) only.
I’ve been with them for a few years so my sim is old.

I asked on the Three live chat at the weekend whether there’s anything I need to do for 5G and they said everything will happen automatically. I haven’t changed my SIM card in years so I assume that applies to me too (I told them I was coming from a 6S so they knew my story)

Vodafone uk do indeed do esims now and vv is available to new customers with current customers having it rolled out over the coming weeks.

....yea, weirdly, I also changed my sim only plan just the other day (after being out of contract and just on a rolling contract) and yet my EE app, still shows I’m eligible to ‘Upgrade’??!
