You get a more secure, better, bond with the Magsafe case. Also some people just prefer using the Apple cases so makes sense. There is no Apple case without Magsafe for the 12's

I also get one on Friday from Apple, and the bargain one from Amazon on Saturday. Can I return the sealed Amazon one to apple? I know they scan serial number, but it is the same thing at the end of the day?

you should be all good if like for like.

I did with a John Lewis iPad few years ago. ordered direct from Apple and a week later JL who were offering 3 year warranty on iPads at the time so ordered one. He notice serials number were different but was still accepted for a refund from Apple

Oh don't get me wrong ill be absolutely over the moon if my order comes through

after trading my 11 pro in for £570 and getting this for £849, that means I just got a new iPhone 12 pro for £279!

Exact same situation here, I get that apple have a 14 day return but it really isn't worth transferring and setting up a brand new iPhone to then wipe it and do it all again on another phone just 24 hours later...will be annoying having it just staring at me! 😂

Same here! My delivery date is 26th or 27th Oct so I think if I haven't heard by Friday then I am good!

lol yeah that made me a bit nervous - like 'are they going to cancel my finance then?' but you answer no, then is says have you received part of your delivery....so you answer no again.. then it says 'do you have a confirmed delivery date' which I answered yes and breathed a sigh of relief..

It looks like I'll be cancelling my pick up order from Apple. The red is a disaster for me. I'll be going with my friend who has an extra iPhone order, so I'm joining the Pro guys in Pacific Blue!

With the attached email, it looks like we are receiving iPhone at £849!!

How magnetic it’ll be through the non-MagSafe cases is anyone’s guess. Once they’re in people’s hands with third party cases we’ll have a better idea.

I just can't see Amazon honouring these, I'm not sure what markup they get on these but I'd think it would be smaller than the discrepancy.

Meaning, if Amazon ship these, they lose money on every order, I can't see it happening.

That said, Oculus did ship me an extra sensor/controllers by accident, but that was noticed by them after shipping, we know Amazon has spotted this. Oculus then asked for them back, and arranged shipping. (I then told them I'd moved to Mauritius and they stopped contacting me 😅)
