The ESR screen protector went on great first time, lined up well and covers the whole screen edge to edge. You can’t even tell it’s there.
I have some Spigen privacy glass and Spigen EZfit protectors to try and these were superb before. I have just ordered the ESR ones to arrive tomorrow following people's feedback on them on here; they sound like a winner.

Any images of them on the phone would be good to see

Still trying to do a quick setup data transfer. It's going badly, I'm on attempt 12, and it's stuck at 'Setting up your Apple ID..."

Mine has moved to shipped...

does anyone have an 11pro to compare to the 12? What to see how the thickness compares

Would you say they are better than the Belkin glass ones that Apple Store applies? I might look into the one you have. I can see they sell them on Amazon.
A different league, ESR to my mind are much better, they do crack when taking the impacts, which is exactly what you want them to do, but they are so easy to apply and so cheap, I’ve used them for at least 4 years :)

Finally made up my mind and committed to iPhone 12 Pro (128; Pacific Blue) and surprised myself by applying for a 24 month contract with EE who seemed to have the best 5G coverage in my city and who suggested delivery by 6th November.

The sums also looked good relative to the SIM-only monthly contract I currently have for my iP7. Now I have to wait, both for credit clearance and delivery.

From then on a cascade of delight as my iP7 (256gb) goes to one member of family who then passed on her iP7 (32gb) to a 12 year old who then gifts her 2016 SE (16gb) to her gran ... who might then stop using the old Nokia with keys!

Got my lovely new iPhone but can’t set it up because the old iPhone is on iOS 14.2 and the new one is 14.1. Does anybody have any ideas what I can do? This must be a common issue.

set up as new don’t add your Apple ID or anything. Once you get to the springboard download the iOS 14.2 beta profile. Install that, check for updates which will download 14.2 beta 4. Once installed reset all settings which will start the phone up so you can restore your backup.

Last year I had the same issue. Set up your new phone as a new phone. Then update it to ios 14.2. Once that is done, you can restore the new phone from the backup you made of your old phone. It was a faf, but it worked.
