Just checked my XS Max to see if i have true tone on.

I do.

I turned it off and I don't actually like how blue the screen is with it off. The yellowness is actually quite obvious when you switch it off and on again.

I don't think they are doing pre approval for the max. I've checked via the apple store app on myiphone and not an option even now - still just set a reminder.



Am contemplating upgrading to a 12 Pro Max in Gold and will probably order next week and see how I find it when it arrives. Last max I had was the 7 Plus and whilst I wasn't keen on the larger size then I feel I would like to try it again. Otherwise I will just stick with my 11 Pro for another year.

Interested to see Pro gold pictures if anyone got one today

Still no email off Amazon, but they have taken the money.

Just picked my 12 up from the Apple shop.

I was upgrading through the IUP but the sales person told me my 11 was worth £400 so I could trade it in with them and then I only had 260 left on my loan so I could start a new loan then phone Barclays and pay the loan from my 11 off when the money from the trade in goes into my bank so I made money upgrading I didn’t realise you could do that!

Haha well done!

I’ve been harping on about this for years. Don’t just hand tour phone back to Apple, you’re throwing money away!

Good even Apple are telling you not to! Apple don’t give the best price and you’ll get a few more Bob from others.

When did they say delivery will be?

Mine basically was on track for today which I can confirm by my tracking details. However, last night Yodel sent my item to a depot which is over 400 miles away compared to one which is 50 miles. Delivery company confirmed it is there fault. The status still shows as it coming today which I highly doubt due to the time it is now. I assume I will either get it tomorrow or Monday. Latest Moday I have been advised.

Won’t work on mine. I still owe £575 on mine and Apple will only give £560 trade in. You also get a refund of the Apple care don’t you?

Last year I had the same issue. Set up your new phone as a new phone. Then update it to ios 14.2. Once that is done, you can restore the new phone from the backup you made of your old phone. It was a faf, but it worked.

Thanks for responding. My wife just tried that with hers and it still wouldn’t allow her to restore for some reason. Just cycled back through repeating the setting requests. I’ll just restore from an older back up I think

The 12 is bigger than the 11? I know for sure the 11pro protector is short on the 12pro

Jeez - what a slip-up! Considering the volume of stuff pinging around I'm surprised it all works as well as it does - modern Logistics is mind-blowing ...

I've bailed on Argos personally, no confidence it'd happen. My order on Weds never moved from "Sit Tight!" (equivalent to Apple 'Preparing for Despatch') whilst they were adamant it'd be out today as late as 0900 this morning. They did however do an instant credit back to my PayPal whilst I was on Live Chat with them, so that's something positive ...

John Lewis have now come up trumps for a Waitrose store collection tomorrow. Confirmation said collect from 4PM & the order status page now says 2PM so looking better now.

So I got my blue pro today, easy pick up from Apple store but still so tempted by silver but I think it’s because I’ve only ever had black/space grey, gold or white/silver.

the blue is something completely different for me andhopefully grows on me.

Anyone else feeling the same?
