I needed to think some more so didn't order my 12 Pro until later on 16/10/2020. Result being delivery this coming Monday. So I know what it is like...

In the old days, life was less complicated without all these different models and colours. In fact I think I’m right in saying that there was no choice of colour until the 3GS when white was introduced as an alternative to black. Or was that the iPhone 4?

If I remember rightly the 3G was also available in white.
I seem to remember a girlfriend at the time being desperate to have one in white, but she ended up with some horrible LG ‘designer’ phone instead.

What the heck is going on here. Used the MagSafe charger overnight for the second time last night. It still only has 50 percent charge when I took it off this morning. Looks like there was a problem according to the battery stats.

So have you never managed to get a full 100% charge with the MagSafe? Are you using the Apple 20w USBC charger with it?

Yes, that photo is just over 24 hours.. I have and using the 20w. I think I found the culprit. VW connect go was using 30 percent of my battery in the background in the last 24 hours. It was probably trying to use the battery whilst charging. I have now deleted it to try the charger again.

This was the iPhone 4. Eventually came in the 4S I think.

I’m sure that was the 4, due to the white front glass and sensors behind.
That was hilarious to us within Nokia at the time, we all laughed at the iPhone and thought it was just an inconsistent toy.

You must have laughed even more with “AntennaGate” when Apple suggested that people weren’t holding their iPhones correctly and that’s why they were having reception problems. They even gave out free “Bumper” cases that solved the problem of people covering the aerial bands with their fingers.

That is a small problem compared to the actual pandemic we are in.

A fair point, but that doesn't account as to why UK consumers on the IUP are potentially getting shafted simply because the credit agreement has to be done in-store, where as in the US, the entire process can and is being done online.

Maybe it's learning your usage pattern?

I don't think it's entirely down to Apple. I have a feeling that Barclays Partner Finance (unlike Capital One in the US) is behind that decision.

I didn’t say it was worth it or if it will change things.

I just stated that it is a small problem compared to what we are currently in.

This year would be different I told myself, one case, two max... yet here we are, still nearly a week until pre-order and I’m already four in and still at least the red Apple silicon to go. Whoops 😅

Oh well the middle three are all variations on slim clear cases, so I guess I’ll pick may favourite once I have the phone and the other two can go back to Amazon.
