Who wants some bad news?

My wife’s day 1 iPhone 12 Pro IUP pre-order was which was due for pick up at Apple Store Highcross in Leicester on 10th November is now due for delivery on 4th Jan!!!

I literally nearly dropped her phone when she showed me this. WTF is going on Apple!

This is a joke.
Ugh this is the effects of the lockdown. Apple don’t really have a choice.

Bluewater store is showing special opening hours for the next week, like that Highcross one from the other day.

Pretty sure that’s new today.

Could it be that they will keep select stores open? Regent Street and Covent Garden don’t have any special hours.

So how do all the standard 12 and pro owners feel after a few weeks?

I love the size and shape, the screen is beautiful but I really miss the lovely blue of my Xr.
I came from an X. So it’s a decent upgrade. The key things I’ve noticed is that my apps stay open for longer, the battery lasts longer, and night time photography is a massive improvement. Oh and the Amazon deal at 849 for the pro has made this a no regrets purchase.!

10 days later after placing my order with Very for the 12 Pro. I haven't received a dispatched email or even a expected delivery date!

What's going on here. Total joke.

Preordered my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro when they originally went live with Apple.

Not sure why hers has slipped to Jan 2021!”
2021 is a bit extreme of a date too. I would have assumed December once lockdown is over. Definitely strange.

Ok guys! So I finally just placed my order for the 12 Pro 256gb Pacific Blue!
Been doing so much research over the past week but I finally done it. I'm upgrading from the iPhone X, mainly for the new camera and design. I will be handing down my X to my brother is who is still using the iPhone 7 which was handed down to him from my other brother.

I'm paying for the phone using the Barclays 0% finance and it legit took about 1 minute to do the finance and place the order. It was nice and straightforward. I already have a current loan with Apple for the iPad Pro 11" and I'm halfway through this loan.

I'm looking super forward to my new phone! Got an estimated delivery date of 19 Nov - 26 Nov XD

Coming from an 11 Pro, the differences are, as expected, minimal.
Camera improvements are marginal, but welcome.
Slightly bigger screen is also appreciated, but not a massive increase. I’d say for me, this is the sweet spot size wise. The Max will always be too big, personally.
No 5G in my area yet, so can’t comment on that.
What I do love are the flat sides. Hardly ever using a case, this makes a huge difference to me, both from a “holding” it point of view, and also cosmetic

applied to return my Pro and only option is for it to be returned by courier no store return now or after lockdown

Never returned a item with Apple by UPS.

Do I put the iPhone box in another box or just attach labels to the original iPhone box

Jeez 2021 imagine if they extended the lockdown.
Jan only 8 months till the next iPhone 13 that will definitely mess up next year upgrades for many people...

I would put it in another box if possible.

What instructions have you been given about when you have to send it back?

How does that work? It is being delivered instead of picked up? How is the agreement going to be signed? It’s normally done in the store.

My Birmingham Apple store will be opening tomorrow for Click & Collect and returns.

Worth checking your local stores.

Might just be an email error. My 12 was supposed to be delivered on the 17th November but came on launch day. Suddenly the lead time started to change, hope that happens for you.

Ooh glad to see click and collect in some stores ☺️ That will be good for those who need/want to pick up their phones or something else

Apple have obviously done an about turn and decided to take advantage of the Click and Collect exemption.

Problem solved for those wanting to pick up their 12 Mini or 12 Pro Max on launch day next week, and beyond of course.
