Golden Brown leather case has arrived. Looking forward to it getting the warn patina look.

Wow, great buy! Golden Brown looks a really nice shade of brown, dark but not as dark as the 12 Pro's Saddle Brown. On the Apple website Golden Brown looks a much lighter brown almost orange as per this photo which put me off. Whereas in real life, its actually great alternative to Saddle Brown and will look the nuts against Sierra Blue.

Your definitely going to get some good patina on that one!

I'm going to have to buy one now myself! 🤣 At least saves waiting for a high-end third party brown leather supplier!

...I doubt that very much!!! Release day is Friday so you definitely wont get it tomorrow!!
I know that release day is Friday, and I've never had anything early myself before... But I have seen that on very rare occasions others have in the past...

Very unlikely, I believed it happened once, somewhere in the US, but it is one in a billion chance. If you are sure you are not expecting a delivery be very careful, there is one or two scams going about along these lines.
Absolutely. Was my first thought - the domain name for the tracking that was sent via text was dhlparcel.co.uk... So the first thing I did was go to DHL.com to check the tracking number - definitely tomorrow. The second was to check the domain with WHOIS for dhlparcel.co.uk -- it has DHL.com name servers...

But then I phoned DHL to see if I could confirm the sender. Expecting 2 iPhones, one for work from one network and the other personal from another. One of them is going to O2's store for collection, the other is coming here...

So checking with DHL - tomorrow's delivery is the one going to the O2 store. So zero chance of them letting me have it until Friday. The good news is that I can collect it as soon as the store opens as it will be there overnight.

Late development 😂..

EE rang offered me the pro max nothing up front for £53 with unlimited data. He was sceptical about when it would arrive but i thought it was a pretty good deal

Time to cancel the 13pro order from apple now and send the accessories back 🙈 mans taking in credit score searches like bullets at the minute 😂

I think the idea is to carry cards you cannot put on Apple Pay/Apple Wallet like Driver's License, ID or door key cards perhaps.
When you put it like that, true. Especially now they're (I think) upping contactless to £100 so you could use your phone to pay for almost anything day to day.

With me I just don't like the thought of adding more bulk onto the phone and the magnet possibly coming off. Its just down to the persons personal preference at the end of the day. Being able to put any receipts etc in my wallet throughout the day also instead of stuffing them in my pocket is another thing

You definitely don;t need to, I did a move from one phone to another last Friday and I got a popup asking do I want to move ir to the new phone, said yes, then on the watch it asked if I wanted to, it took like 10 minutes todo, make sure you have all apps and backups restored to the new phone before doing it, if you miss the popup you can go in the watch app and click Transfer to this device.
Maybe another option would be to first unpair it from the current phone. Then do a phone to phone transfer. The pair the watch with the new phone. 🤔

For the first time in years i haven't pre-ordered. Just been on currys site and everything looks available for friday delivery - is that right do you think?

Looks like a lot of people going all in with the ESR screen protectors. Do they come with the install frames etc?

I know the protector covers Face ID camera and notch, is there a little grove to keep the repositioned earpiece at the top?

I went down the spigen ez fit route.. will see how that goes!

We went the other way .. loved DG but then got a Nespresso and £25 milk frother from Amazon .. have to say it’s like my coffee shop latte now! 😁
I got my Creatista Plus back in January. It’s like my best friend. Best £380 I’ve ever spent! 😂

Am I right in saying there’s no way to move a watch to a new phone if you’re starting afresh?

All the health data is in iCloud so is it just achievements?

anyone starting a new contract with EE, keep in mind you'll have to pay for roaming in EU. That's one of the reasons I went with apple directly as I took out a sim only contract before the cut off date and still get free EU roaming

I have definitely gone overboard this year, just ordered one of these for the iPhone to iPhone transfer. Took 3 hrs in total when I did my 12PM back to XS Max using wifi. It will be interesting to see if a wired connection makes any difference to the data transfer speed

I used this method when transferring my iPhone 12 to X before selling the 12 and it did seem pretty fast. One thing I didn’t try was whether you could charge the iPhone the camera adapter is plugged into at the same time as tresferring, so probably worth having plenty of charge just to be on the safe side if you are transferring a lot of files.

I’ve used the Spigen EZ fit screen protectors for my last 2 iPhones and they’ve been brilliant!! Fitting is a breeze and they hold up well. The protector on my 11 pro has been on for a year (the old one was a bit scratched) and it’s perfect apart from a few micro scratches from swiping.
