Golden Brown leather case has arrived. Looking forward to it getting the warn patina look.

What did you sell and what did you get in the end?

11 Pro Max 256GB.
Got £500 for it.

This is why Apple make stupid products, because you fools still buy them😂 I can’t for the life of me understand a way in which these wallets are safe or useful. Happy to be corrected though.

TBH I kind agree. I cant see how the MagSafe wallet is useful. I'd be worried about it catching the edge of my pocket when sliding my phone in and then falling off without me noticing.
Also I prefer to keep a wallet (when I carry one) separate - if your phone is snatched they get your cards too!!

Just had a DHL shipment notification for delivery tomorrow (Thursday). Not waiting on anything from anyone else so it has to be my phone... Seems like I might be a lucky one getting a phone a day early as sometimes happens?

...I doubt that very much!!! Release day is Friday so you definitely wont get it tomorrow!!

Sadly I'm having it delivered. The nearest Apple store is an hour from me.

Best way to install it is search on You Tube for 'Hinge Method Screen Protector'.

😉

Just a reminder for those transferring from one phone to another on Friday, some apps are notoriously painful to set up from scratch if you don't have access to the app on the old phone. HSBC, Tesco+ and Starling apps are a few examples of apps that will ask for a code from the old phone.

They can still be logged into if you don't have the old phone to hand but it can be painful - Starling will ask for you to record and send a video selfie which can take up to a few hrs for someone to verify your account. HSBC was the worst for me, I used a code from my old phone to log into the new one with no issues but as soon as I wiped it and shipped it off to MM and tried to log on again it asked again for the code from the old phone. Took about 45 mins of pain to get back into the account.

I’ve ordered this case from Amazon for the Graphite 13 Pro I’m expecting to be delivered from O2 on Friday on my pay monthly upgrade.

Didn’t pay anything as I had an Amazon gift card plus the price has gone down since I added the case to my basket yesterday.

...you have a beautiful iPhone 13 Pro coming on Friday and you are going to incase it in that monstrosity...?!!!!!!!!

😮

Exactly, although… I am very risk averse, so it’s definitely not aimed at folks like me. Plus it makes the phone horrible to hold, which is a no no. I already know I’m going to miss the rounded edges of my X😞

Very unlikely, I believed it happened once, somewhere in the US, but it is one in a billion chance. If you are sure you are not expecting a delivery be very careful, there is one or two scams going about along these lines.

We went the other way .. loved DG but then got a Nespresso and £25 milk frother from Amazon .. have to say it’s like my coffee shop latte now! 😁
(All this talk of coffee has made me need one, fired up the Nespresso and milk frother)

Yeah, Hi Col….. yeah, yeah Geoff Lintern, yes THE Linternator…. Asked me to touch base vis a vis the new iPhone cases, he needs them to look like the pencil cases we storm thought last year, so yeah, yeah…. Fire up the whiteboard of thoughts and circle back to me with the renderydodahs.

so have a capachoochoo on me

you are, as always a magnificent Herron!

@Masterman my tracking on Royal Mail shows delivered for my MM order. No email from MM yet...
You will get an email from MM saying the below

"Your Royal Mail tracking page may show your order as Delivered. This means your order reached the Royal Mail central hub and has not yet been delivered to musicMagpie.

Once your order arrives at our warehouse we will email you to let you know."

If it arrives after 2 pm it will be processed the next working day

Same here, delivered 14:02? The race is on! I think their cut off for the day is 2pm which is annoying

I imagine the Royal Mail tracking is updated when they scan dropping it off, and now MM will have a huge batch of deliveries to scan themselves which will ping us an email out hopefully later today

You lose your iPhone and wallet at the same time. Nightmare scenario

"None taken", honest ... 😳

I've not had one before, so admittedly it's something of a punt to see how it goes. Since Apple Pay I rarely take cards out with me day-to-day - and almost never take any cash - but do have a more niche Use Case for work which I've used a similar conventional leather card 'slip' for.

Pre-COVID I'd be in London either for one day-trip, or one / two nights in a hotel, every week so need to carry my physical corporate credit card to pay for *everything*, an Oyster card (as we couldn't contactless or Apple Pay on Tube with corp card) and the client site I visit most often needs photo ID to get the lift from their shared-building foyer = Driving Licence. When at work I've usually got a jacket on, so phone goes inside breast pocket & less likely to detach as it could with jeans etc.

Looked back to see what mine went for on eBay last year & was well chuffed to have got £849 gross, before fees & postage. Feels like second-hand prices are generally lower across the board this year.
