Just over three months since installation and the ESR Armorite has developed more chips and now a crack going from those chips to the earpiece. Will be replacing it today with the second one in the packet. Hopefully that will last longer…
Well after an absolutely PERFECT installation of the first screen protector I somehow massively messed up the second one. I've emailed ESR regarding the quality because I do think they should last longer - and a screen protector shouldn't crack before it's even been applied. It's entirely possible I just got a bad batch or something.

I started off with the ESR tempered glass screen protector, but due to recommendations on this form I upgraded a few days later to the ESR Armorite screen protector. I have had the Armorite on my iPhone 13 Pro Max since Sept 29th and so far there is not a scratch on it.

This is my first time using a screen protector and I’ve had an iPhone every year since the first one in 2007. I’m really happy with it, even when I hold the phone under a light I really can’t see any scratches.

I watched some reviews on YouTube and there are a range of screen protectors rated higher than the ESR Armorite, but so far for me it has been great. I’m also glad it came with two in the box, as I didn’t do a great job of applying the first one and it had to come off right away.
I'm keeping hope with the ESR ones for now. I'm hoping the next batch will last longer!

I got it from their website (Benks) around halloween for about £25 delivered duo to a halloween sale they were having. I would imagine there might be a new year sale going on :D I saw it on Amazon for about double. Come direct form China and took a couple of weeks. It really is quite good. You only get one though so you have to be careful installing to make sure you get no dust. That’s the hardest part but it the same for every one out there.

Anyone else gave it a try without screen protector *for the first time* and got a terrible scratch out of nowhere? Anyone had any luck repairing with AppleCare+?

Happy New Year folks! Just checking in to see how everyone was getting on with their iPhones and Armorite screen protectors.

Just had to replace my first as I think I’ve overdone it with cleansing wipes and hand sanitiser ? The oleophobic coating has taken a severe hit but has been otherwise perfect

I’m using the Amorite.
I won’t use it again.
It seems to peel after a month or so in the top left corner and develop a bubble.
I purchased a new set and I now have the exact same thing again in the same spot.
I have one more left in the package that I will use but then if I get the same again I’ll purchase something else.

How much did you guys pay for this Armorite protector? I’ve been buying relatively cheap ones that come with an easy application frame for my phones over the years and they’ve been totally fine. I’ve also got a spare.

Got my new iPhone 13 Pro Max (256GB/Sierra Blue) via Amazon the other day; what a superb phone!

Sold a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G to aid the purchase (had £300 Amazon vouchers to use also that a client gifted me as we'd had such a manic year); so it's not cost me a dime ??

I've still got my Pixel 4XL, so for me I've the best of both worlds when it comes to iOS and Android, but wanted to get back to an iPhone as everything else I have is Apple etc

It's sat in a Spigen Tough Armor case (red) and I've fitted a tempered glass screen protector and camera lens protector.

I use a lot of chalk in training, so need to protect the screen & camera lens as much as I can otherwise they'd be scratched in no time!

Looking forward to getting some decent pics taken with the iPhone ??

I think the current price on Amazon at £13.59 is the same as it was at launch. You do only get two but the standard model with 3 can be had for about £9.

Other than the coating issue I prefer the version with black edges as I found last year’s model caused the edges to glow due to light refraction which you don’t get on the Armorite. Can’t comment on this years standard version or the competition as I’ve been with ESR for a while.

Happy New Year buddy! My experience is documented above but essentially:
  1. First Armorite went on perfectly. Was great until a little crack appear top left in around October, wasn’t bothered. That expanded towards the earpiece.
  2. So decided to change to the 2nd one in the pack. What a sh*^ that was. It broke before it even went on.
  3. Reached out to ESR to query quality. They replied very quickly over the festive period and got a new pack sent out to me.
  4. New Armorite (so now 3rd one) looks absolutely amazing.
But I am left questioning the quality at this point. I’ll see how I get on with this new set. If I have to replace again I’ll be changing brands. Customer service seems to be top notch to be fair, very similar to Anker.

Might be worth reaching out to ESR via their website. They were very quick and helpful.

Ah man. I actually don’t know what the actual screen on my 13PM feels like. I put a screen protector on it the moment I unboxed it.

I'm still using my Amorite protector - durability is great IMHO.

The only negative for me is that it still seems to attract lint around its edges (weird??!) but other than than its well worth its value for money.

@Jinjin When is this year's 2022 thread starting?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😄

Mine are similar but the ESR

holder works fine. I didn’t think it would but it’s great.

Going by your first pic above, you have attached this to your vents, incorrectly.

It should be installed like this (the lowest portion is a leg brace which extends downwards and should rest on the dashboard in order to provide stability to the holder) :

Well spotted. I’ll have to take another look at it (dark and too cold at the moment). May make it even more secure (although it’s good enough the way I have it now). Thanks for pointing this out.

Morning All,

I hope you all are well and keeping safe.

Bastward Covid got me last week (after all that lockdowns and home working). Negative now but i can still feel my rib cage aching and tiredness is real.

Anyway are we still enjoying our devices. Im totally loving my IP 13 Pro SB with Product Red Silicone case.

Got a new iP13 Mini from work today. Just finished setting it all up. Replacing an iP6s, so it's a bit of a jump. I have to say I freaking love the thing. If it had Pro Motion and the Pro camera's I really could see myself using it as my main device.
I really hope Apple changes its mind and releases phones the same size as the Mini. Even if it’s just once every few years. I love the 13 Mini, and whilst it’ll last me the next 4-5 years (hopefully longer), I’m hoping there’s another small one I can upgrade to.

I have no regrets about switching from the iPhone 11. My hands thank me for it!

iPhone 4 designs maybe..?!!!

I also think this is about as far as they can take the current design (flatten the cameras humps on the back and have an all over lit up screen around the ear piece and front camera, thus, removing the notch) :

Big fan of these renders. I'm not that bothered about the notch, anything they can do to improve it then fine.
