Yep will be the week iPhone14 launches (Tuesday/weds isn’t it usually?)

Isn't that whole new lock screen pointless though - who even looks at their lock screen for more than a few seconds just before unlocking their phone, I know I don't?!
What is the point in customizing it with all those widgets, especially when those same widgets can be used on the Home screen??!

I'm guessing it is will be beneficial for the iPhone 14 "Always on Display"? don't have to worry about unlocking it.
I have been thinking the same. The only 2 that will be of any use to me would be battery with % and outlook calendar. Personally think the Lock Screen is going to look cluttered
To be honest, the reason I would pick up the phone to unlock would be to see details from various apps. Things like Callander, emails, WhatsApp msgs etc. stock prices, battery levels too. More then happy to have that data on one screen.
The amount of time the phone is next to me on the desk and I pick it up to ‘see what’s going on’. What’s the stat that gets used, people interact with their phone 60 times a day on average!
Always on would be great too, just then means a quick glance down at it
I think I’m going to take inspiration from @Jinjin this year and hold off using iOS 16 until the 14 arrives so it feels like a truly new experience… that’s the plan anyway 
....or wait until iOS 16 drops and keep the iPhone 13 and it will STILL feel like a new phone!

Threw caution to the wind and installed watchOS 9 on my series 7 yesterday. Nice to see my sleep stages this morning and had a similar feeling of ‘newness’ 😂. Would still discourage others being so reckless as there’s no way to downgrade back to watchOS 8
This is my plan, upgrade my 13 mini day one for the "new phone" feel and most likely get the AW Series 8 instead.....or wait until iOS 16 drops and keep the iPhone 13 and it will STILL feel like a new phone!
