Good old music magpie will take that.

So… after much deliberation I recently upgraded from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 Pro Max.

EE now offer the ability to transfer eSIM when using the moving feature from iOS to iOS and also restoring from a back up on a Beta software release to a phone that isn’t on it also prompts you to download it to continue (don’t know how new that is).

Does it pay out on the spot? I assume no. Seems like posting it would be quicker as you might have to wait a week or so until someone empties the box and posts them all of to MM.

Need to buy another 13 mini (Midnight) but finding them at a decent price is proving a struggle. I bought my last one for £550 and reluctant to pay more.

Anyone know anywhere that sells 'as new'/open box or otherwise pristine ones for £550-ish or less?

- GiffGaff were selling 'as new' refurbed ones for £549 but now sold out.

- Cheapest_Electrical on eBay occasionally have them in with discount codes but all out of Midnight ones.

- CeX selling them at £580 (bit too high), and apprehensive as they could be tied to contracts.

Places like Amazon, MusicMagpie, Currys etc all selling at well above £600 still.

Suggestions?

I bought mine on eBay (as did a friend) for £580 (it might have had a further 10% off offer at the time). Yes, I know... eBay... but these were 'P'-grade phones from one of those companies that buys stock that's been opened and returned. I know the place gets a bad rep sometimes, but I'm writing this on a laptop I bought from a different business seller last year. Phone and laptop still in excellent condition.

This isn’t a pre order as such but I have just excitedly ordered the 13pro in seirra blue 256gb for a collection tomorrow. Gutted the blue jay case is no longer available so ordered the dark abyss case instead.

This is my first ever pro device, my first ever Apple official case and as a treat spending some money I got for my birthday will get an Apple wallet.

To cut a long story short, been temporarily using an older Samsung and typing on it has been relatively a frustrating experience. Handed over my 12 to family and have been missing the ease of use and simplicity of iOS and its beauty.

Now one question if I may…

Segoia green wallet with the abyss blue or dark cherry? I don’t really like the brown or midnight personally and want something different

I’m so excited but I will be patient and set it up tomorrow evening as I have an afternoon slot. I’m sure it would be pushing my luck to setup a screen protector I bought off Amazon whilst setting up my device so will do it from the comfort of my home!

Used one of those to sell my iPhone X at beginning of 2021.
Couldn’t be easier BUT you need to remember to partially set the phone up again with minimum settings as it needs to scan the serial number BUT you won’t get a chance to wipe it if you leave it with your settings.

Money was already in my account when I got home 10 mins later.

Have to say how disappointed I am with Apple Pay on my iPhone 13 Pro.

Took it out today and used it to get through barriers on the UK underground (my phone is in an official Apple case) and it failed 8 out of 10 times ?!

I have it set up so that my card shows up automatically but it just wouldn’t read at the barriers?!

Still available on Amazon apparently:

I'm finding the silicone case is a real lint magnet on my iPhone 13 Pro.

It does look great but I am constantly brushing lint off it each time it goes in and out of my pocket!

Also, my Apple MagSafe Wallet doesn't seem to attach to the silicone case as strongly as it does to the Apple leather case - I think the leather case seems to have more grip on the wallet, when it gets attached.

I can see myself moving back to my leather case...!!

They are terrible for it mate. I’ve been using them since the 6 and they are always the same.

They always seem to start peeling on the corners after a while too!

Totally not worth the money but I always end up with one!

From the reviews I have seen on YouTube, the colour which Apple depicts Abyss Blue on its website is way off - its actually alot lighter in real life (on Apple's site, it almost looks like a Midnight Blue colour).

Looks a little different to how I imagined but I’m happy. I had the green wallet but switched it to cherry in the return window.

I might at some point in future if I ever see an offer get the green further down the road unless they release another colour that appeals to me more!

Cannot comment on the leather as I’ve the silicon but you could go into an Apple store to let them see for themselves how it is weak. Mine seems ok to me. Granted it might not hold on a drop but would certainly be fine in pockets and bags etc.

That combo of colours looks great (what colour is that wallet?).

Alas, I have to say that I will be switching back to my ‘Midnight’ Apple leather case this weekend - I just can’t be doing with all the lint which the silicone case seems to attract every second of the day.

I realise that I made a slight error in my post regarding the wallet.

I was actually using the last gen Apple Wallet (the one which has no ‘Find My’ functionality) on my silicone case. This version actually has a slightly weaker magnetic grab than the current gen Apple Wallet (the ones WITH ‘Find My’ functionality).

Down to £765 for a “Premium” condition iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB. Still £30 more than Music Magpie. Good price.
