noooo I really like the green
I have a feeling Alpine green was just a seasonal color to boost iPhone 13 sales. Like the Product Red iPhone 7 Max. Special edition! One of my favorites. Dang! It's just stunningly beautiful!

If Apple offers Product Red iPhone 14 Pro Max. I will instantly purchase 2 iPhones Pro Max for myself.

Guys! hear me out.

Random thought! What if Purple is not the new flagship color for the iPhone 14 Pro Line up? Think about it for a second. For iPhone 12 Pro lineup, no one expected a Pacific Blue color. For the iPhone 13 Pro Line up, no one expected a Sierra Blue color.

What if for iPhone 14 Pro Line up the new color is Atlantic blue or Royal blue? Thoughts on this theory... Thanks!

If Bronze or Matte black doesn't make the cut this year. It assures us Apple plays hard with these leakers and misguided them.

Anyone planning to go from Pro Max down to regular Pro?
I question myself every year and always go Max but it's just too big sometimes.

Just tried the EE codes and they work with anytime plans. Did it as a new customer though. If some one wants to try it as an upgrade option.

I go through the same thought process every year.

The last time I tried the standard 6.1” I just found it too small unfortunately.
Yep that’s how I think I’d feel too, I’d probably regret it!

I think after the Sierra blue I’ll be going back to silver though. Got a bit bored of the blue eventually. Unless the purple really wows me…

Regular Pro is the perfect size in my opinion. Best decision i made ditching Pro Max version when I upgraded to 12 pro.

Currently using iPhone 11 as burner and i already miss the 13 Pro size.

The purple does look good but I’m worried that I might get tired of it like you did with the blue (which I also like a lot). At the end of the day the two classic colours that I never tire of are Space Grey / Graphite and the Silver / White.

We all know that you'll look at the colour for all of 5 seconds and then shove the phone into a case for the next year!!

😆

However, I do think the blue of the iPhone 12 range was one the best blues I have seen on an iPhone.

On average from previous years, how much does the MM and other trade in sites drop after new iPhone goes on sale?

I’m on iUP and normally just reserve next one and do the swap. One year I did pay off the iUP and trade into Apple and made a little bit, Native around £90 can’t remember.

Reading thread it seems a lot trade in before announcement, I can’t be messing with that as don’t have another iPhone, and also now have eSIM etc.

So what I’m maybe thinking is paying off iUP and getting new one and seeing what Apple trade price is, and MM and others. Would I still be better off this way and by average how much after new on sale.

Thanks

It’s difficult to answer all of your questions but from recollection the trade-in value falls as soon as the new iPhone is announced and, IIRC, continues to fall after the new iPhone is actually available.

I can understand you wanting the new iPhone in hand before you part with your old one. However, it’s sometimes possible to achieve this with MusicMagpie if you can time it right. MM have excellent trade-in prices and they will lock in a valuation for 21 days. If you lock-in a valuation on the 6th September (the day before the expected announcement) you will have until the 27th for MM to receive and assess your phone. IF Apple follow their normal scheduling, pre-orders should be on Friday the 9th September with delivery on Friday the 16th leaving you plenty of time to get your phone to MM.

I would not recommend trading it in with Apple. Generally they give poor money.
