Does anyone on EE using an E-sim have any information on what the latest deal with is them?

Last year I think I had to order a new esim and have it posted - is this still the process or is it more up to date now? :)
Now you can download it via EE app.
Its even better if you have your old iPhone (using esim) with you. You can just press add plan on new device and the plan will transfer from your old device to new one.

My MM parcel still showing at the local post office where I dropped it off 12 hours ago… hoping it’s been collected at least but just in a back log of parcels

RM are definitely dealing with backlogs - I sent something tracked 48 on Saturday Morning and it’s still saying “accepted at the PO” that I sent it from - so no movement in 4 days.

But there was a bank holiday + strike so that takes 2 days out!

I replaced my 13 a few months back and during the iOS data migration it transferred my e-sim over in the process, something that has been a feature for a while just the networks haven't supported it till now.

There's also an option in the EE app to generate/download a new e-sim.

So you don’t necessarily have to have the original iPhone to do the transfer? That’s what I was lead to believe.

So as long as you can login to the EE app, let’s say you setup a brand new iPhone, download the EE app, you can then add the eSIM to the new iPhone?

If so that’s better, as I worried you had to have the original iPhone to do the transfer.

Just that Apple support link still says you need the old original iPhone to transfer the eSIM

Thanks

I have an EE eSim and when setting up my burner XR earlier it gave me the option to transfer the sim to the new phone during setup

Anyone know how stringent MM are with the condition of the phone? My 13 Pro has a deep ~1.5cm scratch on the bottom of the screen which you can feel with your fingernail, but other than that is in good condition. Would this still qualify for "Good" condition?

If it has a deep scratch I don’t think it would qualify for the “Good” option. It’ll likely be downgraded to the poor option

They send a code to your number to verify so you’ll need access to that to download the esim

Is it even worth upgrading to a eSim
It's literally a must if you intend to use the dual SIM feature.

I currently have an O2 eSIM for personal use and a work issued Vodafone physical SIM. Saves me having to carry 2x phones.

Also useful if you do a lot of travelling and you intend to purchase a local SIM for data. Have your primary UK SIM as an eSIM because it'll be much easier to source a local physical SIM.

Anyone know how to get an esim from EE for the first time? The help articles online are not so clear and many are old. I’ve read that it can be fine on the myEE app but this isn’t obvious to me especially after the last update of the app which seems to have made it less user friendly!

*** scrap that, think I’ve figured it out!***

I only use 1 sim and would probably never use another in my phone either. Only thing putting me off converting to a eSim is I switch between 2 iPhones sometimes so dunno how easy that would be swapping devices

It also comes handy running two Ubereats account.

One for home and One for work lol.

One for wife and One for girlfriend (of course not in my case).

From my EE if you go to account settings there should be a section to replace your sim - from there you can choose eSim.

*Sorry, seen that you've done it now lol

I really would stick with a physical SIM, then. If it wasn't for the need to run dual SIM, I'd be using a physical SIM all day long as it's just so much simpler.

it's simpler, but not that much simpler? I have used an esim since middle of last year, works well, and very easy to set up. EE will send you an email, or if you use a computer, will display a QR code, and then once you utilise either, it'll ask you what to name the line (gives you templated choices) and then if you want to share the data, and that's it. Later, if you go into mobile settings, you can choose which to have on, or turn one off, which lines you use to call certain numbers, it's customisation is awesome. I've travelled, and worked in 3 countries, and kept my home account as an esim and it's been seamless.

MM phone on the move. It’s now at Gatwick mail centre assuming to then fly off to Warrington!

Would like to think they’ll get it Monday and process Tuesday

Still no movement on my phone from dropping it off on Tuesday. My anxiety level is slowly rising.

I was hoping to get a Titanium Apple Watch, so maybe I'll head to the Apple Store today to see what they have.
Possibly I'll get a Ti Series 7 in case the Series 8 Pro becomes a huge watch that doesn't fit on my wrists.

Hi everyone,

I've just started the process to sell my iPhone 13 PM with Music Magpie.
Does anyone know how long they 'lock in' the offer for the phone?
With the 14PM not released for another couple of weeks I don't want to send the phone off then be given a reduced offer as it's been recieved late.
