Amazon do also offer the ability to spread the cost out without interest. It can be spread over 5 payments.

Bought a few things using that. Works well, came in handy and 0% interest.

I guess it’s some custom instalment plan that’s decided on custom non credit parameters
It's defiantly an Amazon hidden gem. Seems only available on certain tech items, which have to be sold by Amazon, rather marketplace, and I haven't found a way of searching for items which have 5 payments on them.

I have ordered through O2 a couple of times before they always put their pre order live about 15 minutes early. Last few years I have ordered through Apple though and will be this year.

People saying Amazon don’t do pre orders for iPhones 🤔 I thought they always put the iPhones live at the same time as Apple it just says delivers on the release date. So still technically a pre order when you order a week in advance.

When they did the price cock up that was on the same day pre orders went live so people ordered from both sites.

I’ll be ordering the phone for a store pickup, generally can get a good chance of launch day stock. Last year they even had same day stock about 45 mins or more.

I’ll be taking my friend who I’ve converted to Apple with me as I don’t think he’s ever seen a launch day event.

Just not like they used to be! All of this picking a time slot has thrown the whole queuing up at 4am and it being a bit of a lottery!

Damn you apple for making things more efficient

that will be the most difficult part for me… so I get it early in the morning? I do believe that my morning might be full with meetings :)

Just had a look back to see if I am off my rocker but Amazon pre orders go live at 1PM same as Apple. Seeing everyone saying they don’t do pre orders was making think I was crazy 😂 I think it’s just John Lewis that doesn’t do pre orders unless you count 1 day before.

Ah so Amazon do cherry pick the offer for customers.

“To be eligible for this offer to pay using an instalment plan, you must reside in the United Kingdom, your Amazon.co.uk account must have been active for at least one year, you must have a valid credit card associated with your Amazon.co.uk account, and you must have a good payment history on Amazon.co.uk. This offer may not be available to every customer and may not be available to you for all qualifying products. In addition, the eligibility of this offer is based on additional information regarding your Amazon.co.uk account, such as your purchase history on Amazon.co.uk, or the price of the qualifying Product or Device.”

Yeah John Lewis defo open on the release day.

Does make sense Amazon do advertise them from pre order day based on the events for a few years ago!

Assuming they went live at 1pm too

maybe I’m lucky? I do hope it’s not because I’ll become an Amazonian…
