The APP are rumoured to use Bluetooth 5.2, which come with an array of features: namely Bluetooth Low Energy and the LC3 codec. The APP is the “receiver” in this context.

To take full advantage of these things, your “transmitter” also needs to support the same feature set and have Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

I suspect the new iPhone will support Bluetooth 5.2, to enable this. Depending on your use case, this may bring some battery life benefits, but it depends how you use the APP.

Personally, I don’t use APP for critical listening and the current lossless codec works fine for me when I wear them at the gym. Similarly, I’ve not had battery issues as I charge them every few days after a 45 min gym session (the case provides better charging facility).
 
Ah man, biggest issue with my burner XS max is the damn battery drain, feels like I lose 20% as soon as it's disconnected from the charger and that's with having it on battery saver 24/7. Haven't noticed any difference from the lack of pro motion. Videos and photos are always a big one but will just get the mrs to use her 12 pro if needed.

Roll on the trip to the post office first thing tomorrow morning for the drop-off the 13 pm

When the OG AirPods Pro launched in late October 2019, they were in very short supply. I recall it wasn't until Feb 2020 when they were regularly in stock again.

I can only guess Apple was unsure of their popularity and so underplayed initial production.

My "launch" Pros and battery case are a little over a year old as I also had Apple swap them out due to crackling and battery life issues - Apple Care for £29 is such good value for them!

I hadn't heard that, the last time I checked the t&cs mobile phones were still excluded.

Currys can't be trusted, will take your money for preorder and on the day they have no idea what's going on. I'll use the work discount for anything else except iPhones

I will buy a 10 voucher through work and if it lets me apply it I’ll then buy the rest do Currys do pre orders ?

I had to buy a left airpod from ebay.
My original got loads of sand in when I was in Spain last year so think it’s time for a new pair

Mine doesn’t need to be back until the 16th. I have a work iPhone 13 Pro that will become my burner. But I don’t want to do it too early. I am also away next weekend. Won’t be able to send till week on Monday. Is that gonna be cutting it fine for MM do we think?

Will need to update iPhone to iOS 16 as well as I am running beta.

Cant you DFU it back to iOS 15 and send it earlier
