I reckon the satellite connectivity is happening tomorrow (look at the motion invite - its like satellites moving around the earth/apple) but it will only be available for North America users.

How long are you lot planning on keeping it especially if its priced around that magic number of 1k.

If I do get one it would be for 2 years minimum. Was ready to dump the s5 edition for an s7 but the redesign never materialised. Battery was > 85% then so decided to keep it another year.

1) Would defo resell on eBay over trade in as their prices are atrocious

2) assume the battery life for the pro will be much better than the the standard model. Could help the resell price or more likely, will make me want to hold on to it for longer

3) if the design language changes for s9 that could tempt me to downsize again and cash in sooner.

4) no edition or titanium model on the standard series 8 would be a reason to get the pro too

Hopefully that’s not the biggest selling point of the new phones. It would never be a feature I’d consider important (for me) when deciding to buy a phone.

How many days has RM typically been taking to delivery their phones to MM? I sent mine Friday morning and there's been no scan since Saturday morning :( My mate's who posted his after mine has already been delivered.

I sent mine Friday morning from Aberdeen and for paid by MM yesterday, had no scans on Friday for it being dropped off etc, first scan I had was Saturday morning arriving in Glasgow on the way down then another scan on Sunday to say it had been delivered to MM

Should I be getting concerned do you think? Worried about the strike after tomorrow too if it doesn't get there today.
no don't worry. MM say give it 7 working days before you'd be able to file a claim anyway!

We'll ask you to wait a total of 7 working days for the order to arrive with us before being eligible to file a claim against the courier you used. This allows us to account for any potential delays which the courier experiences whilst in the process of delivering your order to us.

yours has only been 2 till now. also with the pending strikes, that might had some lag. I'd expect them to have received it by tomorrow/thurs tbh.

edit ---
can also imagine they'll be getting a lot of phones in now to process too!

looks like MM are reselling our traded in phones for over a grand!

My RM tracking still says it hasn't moved from the PO I dropped it off at a week ago, but yesterday morning I received a "we've paid you" email from MM, not even a "We've got your phone" email first.

whilst Dino may no longer be with us in person, his will and urge stays strong in all of us!

(p.s. he's not dead 😂)
You had me going in the first half not gonna lie. 😂 Where is Dino? He's usually all over the thread.
