Hmm - the pricing on the 13 Pro is ONLY an extra £5 a month on what I’m currently paying now for my 12 with Barclays!!!

Are they taking orders now?!!!
The Apple Store app shows that they’ll give me £375 towards the outstanding Barclays Loan on my 12. If there is any more outstanding then they will collect it the Checkout.

My payments on my 12 are 12 x £35.37 = £424.44. So £424.44 - £375 = £49.44. Is this the extra I’ll be charged at checkout then ?!

I definitely seem to be in the minority being so enthusiastic about Promotion. I instantly fell in love with it on my iPad Pro. Cannot wait to have it on my new iPhone 13 Pro Max!

Totally torn on a 13 or a 13 pro. I have an XS and can’t help but feel the pro is the way forward. But I don’t want to jump only for a cracker to come next year either!

Is the Graphite actually any darker than the 11 Pro / 12 Pro ? 😂 I’m struggling to see much difference viewing the Gallery on the Apple Store.

Yeah this is really making me reconsider
For the first time in a long time I am thinking standard Pro. As far as I can see the specs are the same for the 2 pro models. Usually better camera & video specs on the Max. Only difference is screen size and battery. Both of which I can get round. Would make it feel like a proper new device too. And if I get another colour than Black/Graphite or whatever that would add to the feeling. For me anyways.

There’s more upgrades than I thought there would be over my 11 Pro so I might possibly upgrade after eventually skipping last year. The screen and camera upgrades are the key things for me.

I think it’s exactly the same as last year’s graphite
Yeah, that’s how I’m seeing it. I’m sure they referred to it in the Keynote as “Deep Graphite” so I naturally assumed it was darker than the last two years.

I was thinking pro over standard cause the promotion and camera and battery even though it’s heavier I can always get a pink case if I really wanted… here’s me trying to talk myself into the pro over standard 😂

So this is new.

Seems I can choose to either apply the trade-in value of my outgoing iPhone 12 Pro Max to pay off the balance on the loan - £380, or I can decline and sort out the balance myself (which is my preference), then apply the trade-in value against the new iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I definitely wasn't underwhelmed by the 13 Pro Max! :apple:

I do a lot of camera and video work so the new upgrades will be important to me.

Highlights for me include:
  • ProMotion 120hz adaptive refresh is utterly superb on iPad Pro and expect the same on iPhone Pro. Do not underestimate how good this feature is!!
  • Cinematic Mode (and then some!)
  • ProRes Video Recording
  • Night Mode
  • Macro Mode - stills and video is awesome!
  • Photographic Styles
  • Bigger Battery - expecting significant gains in battery times
  • A15 Bionic
  • £50 cheaper than 12 Pro Max (very non-Apple!)
  • New Sierra Blue colour looks great
  • Smaller notch
Here are the full camera specs:

Telephoto
  • 77mm focal length
  • 3x optical zoom
  • ƒ/2.8 aperture
  • Focus Pixels
  • 6-element lens
  • OIS
Ultra Wide
  • 13mm focal length
  • ƒ/1.8 aperture
  • Faster sensor
  • Focus Pixels
  • 6-element lens
Wide
  • 26mm focal length
  • 1.9 μm pixels
  • ƒ/1.5 aperture
  • 100% Focus Pixels
  • 7-element lens
  • Sensor-shift OIS
Personally I'm not fussed about the weight gain.

Just in case anyone was wondering, your god damn right I am pre-ordering Friday! 🤣

Currently have a Gen 5 watch, not sure if I'll upgrade to the Gen 7 right now as I did expect a full redesign.

Instead I ordered an iPad Mini in my excitement, maybe for me or for my missus - lets see!

What made me laugh is the fact the zillions of iPhone 13 leakers who got it very wrong this year, my pre-keynote Matte Black choice can wait another year for the 14 now!

So is the midnight colour green or blue?

Looks almost black!

Yea, that’s what I’m getting too but not sure if I progress through to the checkout whether it will actually process the loan payoff or not ( I want to see what all the payment figures are first before I confirm an order!). …?

Hmm - the app does say that Pre-Orders start at 1pm on 17th Sept so I guess there won’t be any payments confirmed until then…!
