What model are you getting?

I stopped the upgrade program on the iPhone 11.

Annoying that you have to physically be in store, you are forced to buy AC+, overall it is more expensive.

I think you will need to make another order if you want a different model, which will mean a delay on your upgrade.

iUP isn’t more expensive, it’s the same as bought outright or the 24 months 0%. The only difference is you HAVE to have AC+ so if you class that as more expensive then yes.

It’s more expensive as in monthly payments as it’s over 20 months, and £69 upfront, rather than the 24 months 0%.

You don’t have to hand it back after 11 months, you can keep the term, or pay off early and cancel the AC+ and get a refund. It’s then yours, and can sell to MM etc.

It’s less convenient as you have to go in store I agree not sure why.

There isn’t much difference between it and 0% deal now. I used to be on iUP but this year changed to the 0% deal, am paying off the iUP and selling (hopefully masking around £150).

PAWANKER89

I read something else there!

There’s some cracking domain names like that, see how you get on with these, genuine innocent domains:

Whorepresents.com

Penisland.net

Speedofart.com

therapist.com

artisanalcheese.com

And so many more.

Can’t even track my EE 02 number and I ordered by 13:15 over phone

Normally they dispatch Thursday around 8am with DPD - download the app you’ll get a notification then
I would ring EE and ensure the order is on the account. I am able to track here.

Its going to be such a long weeeeeek!

Think I might just keep my air pods pro. Use them as my upstairs headphones lol and new ones for everything else
Do you remember when Steve Jobs said when launching the first iPad and he said that you would have tech spread over the house and more than one tablet/PC. I thought that sounded unplausable and extravagant (not to mention expensive) at the time and here we are quite normally talking about have earphones in different places. A bit like having a few pairs of reading glasses!

looks like apple back to sending cases via royal mail after sending one last week via DPD.. Funny how Apple charge for 'express' delivery but when you select the free option, its sent as next day anyway!
Presume that was just for the RM strike but I agree that many retailers and couriers get to you next day even when you don't select. ON that basis I rarely pay extra unless I am urgently requiring sometime.
Educated guess?
No it wasn't as guess as the details had already been posted about the embargo being lifted - HOWEVER I recalled wrong it is Wednesday!!🤭

I remember buying the first iPad and before hand really having to try and justify it to myself because I had a phone and desktop. I wanted to try this new tech but how much use would it really be when I already had the phone and PC etc.

Now I’ve the desktop, laptop downstairs, chrome book, tablets upstairs and down, kindles etc etc.

Funny how much our attitude to tech has changed in such a short time.

You do get a pro rota refund on iUP AC+ if you cancel it earlier
yes you'd get a refund but you might not see the cash straight away.

for example, if you cancelled 3 months after starting IUP, the refund would be returned to Barclays and taken off your loan total. that won't reduce your month payments, just the total amount left to pay back (i.e. you'll pay it off sooner).

See full terms and conditions for the iPhone Upgrade Programme
  1. Cancellation of Financed AppleCare+. If during the term of your Instalment Loan you cancel your Financed AppleCare+ policy associated with your iPhone Upgrade Programme or if it is cancelled in accordance with the AppleCare+ Terms and Conditions, any refund due on your Financed AppleCare+ will be paid to Bank as a payment toward any amount owed by you to Bank. If the AppleCare+ refunded amount is greater than the amount owed on the Instalment Loan, Bank will pay the balance to the bank account you used to enrol in the iPhone Upgrade Programme.

yes, but not if you had your phone back to apple after 11 months. they'll just start a new one with you on the new handset..

that's the thing about IUP for me, its just a rip off.. OK, its not huge amounts oh money, but circa £150!

worth making sure those expensive things are all itemised in peoples home insurance content cover!

the OLED TVs, and MacBooks all had to be listed separately

I think with EE, depending on how you’ve ordered you get a different combination of numbers.

Mine was an early upgrade where I paid like a £500 fee and it was done through 150.

I think getting it new from EE, upgrading out of contract, being on the upgrade program, depending on the route you took the outcome is different.

I remember last year I was able to track it but it was days until my 24 month contract was up. (Still got it LATE even though those I knew ordered after me and got it on the day)….

Anyhow I know last year I wasn’t able to check my Plan and it seems the case this year, usually Thursday Morning or the day before we get a text saying our new plans are activated. Right now my EE App and Acc show try again later so something been done. This usually happens the same time the DPD App notification comes.

Called 150 to confirm and did LC twice and they all gave me 02 numbers that don’t track and reassured me it’s still on pre order:

Also on my confirmation email I only got my account number nothing else

Anyhow that’s my 2 pence.

Ive got 02 numbers as well but can't track them. Got the numbers via chat and they confirmed orders are on account.

Did you get tracking info via email or you rung them?
You need a 002 number to use the EE tracking site. I was told this by the upgrades team when I spoke to them yesterday afternoon. You can only get these from the email confirmation, they can't be generated after the order.

EE use 02 order numbers internally, so if you contact EE they will only be able to provide 02 numbers.

Spigen or ESR for screen protectors?
Well I’ve bought both and don’t know which one to install on Friday! Used ESR Amorite last time and been completely happy with it but much prefer the installation method of the spigen EZ fit so I may try that one first. If it’s good then I’ll send the ESR back unused

Yeah, I would never consider selling to MM for £55 might as well keep them. For me the 3 years I got out of them was great that might as well keep

Could get a battery service from Apple, cost £45 for Pro. I presume they would give refurb item rather than actually replacing battery.

Means a “new” pair of headphones, Apple refurb are normally great, and will last another 3 years.
