What model are you getting?

Has anyone got any experience with the Nudient Thin cases? I’ve already got the Midnight Apple silicone case on order, but I’ve been tempted by (read: have already ordered) Nudient’s Ink Black and Concrete Grey cases for my Space Black 14 Pro.

Unrelated: Is there some sort of Cases Anonymous support group I can join?!
I've been using Nudient thin cases since having a 12 Pro. Really impressed with them, they are (as you'd expect) thin and don't add much bulk at all to the phone. Nice texture and finish to them also. Currently have a midwinter blue for my 13PM and have just order the same for my 14PM (yes I'm biased on colour!). Only downside is shipping takes a little while as they come from Germany I believe. Think my last one took just over a week to arrive. Hope that helps!

Spoke to a live chat agent who specifically said

“Apple has delayed with 28 days for providing stock”

“Non of the customers will get there order's before 28 days”

ridiculous after being told over the phone at pre order it will be here launch day, and the advisor over the phone wanting to charge a £6 delivery fee so I did and he said “I’ll get that delivery booked for Friday for you” and my preorder was complete and confirmed literally about 20 mins in
What annoys me more than anything else in that transcript is that they agent didn't use their.

So I bought a 14 Pro for home delivery on Friday.. I have changed my mind and want a Pro Max, so I will have to go to store to exchange. By the time the delivery arrives, it may be out of stock (there will be some available in store initially), so wondering if I should purchase online and reserve for pickup and then do the exchange once there. To further complicate matters, I used a fair few gift cards for the 14 Pro, so if I buy the Pro Max on a credit card (just to secure it), can I essentially return both and then rebuy that same Pro Max using the gift card refund?
remember you have 14 days to initiate your return to apple!

you might get lucky and see stock in to reserve show online form 6am Friday. if you find the Pro Max model you want, then you can reserve and collect as you say.

you could also try your luck in a store and see what they have available on the day you try a return.

so if you buy the pro max on a card, you can then get your pro refunded back to apple vouchers, and then get the pro max refunded back to your card and then buy again with vouchers! remember the refund to credit card will take a number of working days to show up on your bill.... If your statement gets issued in that time, you might find yourself out of pocket for a bit..

the other option is to try use the IUP stock checker:https://reserve-prime.apple.com/GB/en_GB/reserve/A/select?iUP=E

if you can find stock in a store, it reserves one without taking payment (as you have to sign up to IUP in store). you 'could' turn up for that IUP reservation and then just buy outright too!

Stratford Westfield, I’m less than 3 stops away by tube
Music Magpie - To be honest I have been slightly underwhelmed with their trade-in service.

Sent my phone in on Tuesday 9th September and received the Royal Mail "delivered" notification on Sunday 11th September. So far so good, however, delivered actually doesn't mean delivered as this is merely when it is received at their courier hub to be palleted up for large delivery to their warehouse. I'm fine with that but it's now Wednesday and still has not received it at the MM warehouse for processing. So, in total, I allowed 8 / 9 days (I also factored in the postal strike, which was only 1 day, and that it was a 48-hour delivery service they used), yet still no processing or payment.

As my offer price expires very shortly, apparently the end of play today, got onto the live chat and explained the situation and the fact that I had allowed plenty of time for them to receive it and, just for peace of mind, could they extend the offer period (this extended delay between "delivered" and actually received at warehouse seems overtly long and beyond my control). They said they couldn't extend the period but it would "probably" be okay (rather vague). Also, whilst on all their comms they say "allow 7 days" for sending in your items when you speak with them they are at pains to say "7 working days". Anyway, hopefully, all will be fine but has made me think twice about using them in the future.
Im in the same situation, but a day behind you. Mine was last tracked on Saturday at Atherstone PSC. I locked my price on 25th, so should be enough time. I'd like more than hope though !

£50 says they are confusing it with the 14 Plus

If I purchase a case for collection tomorrow night do you think I can just collect it Friday morning when collecting the phone?

Trying to break my habit of alternating between iPhone and Android each year and just stick to iPhones.

I learnt a very expensive lesson last year when I thought I would try the S21 Ultra... then found when I didn't like it I couldn't return it. So now my partner has it. I now know I am Apple all the way as much as I do get tempted by android i.e the Oppo Find X5 Pro but I know I will end up back at iPhone if I change.

Which one, the credit card to gift card switch-a-roo or the iUP option?
I've done both in various guises.

did the voucher to credit card switch-a-roo with the M1 PRO MBPs last year... ended up trying 3 different specs!

and I've done the IUP link in the past too to reserve and then buy... was a good few years ago now

good to see that you can look for stock at apple stores from 6am Friday too

Brill thanks. My concern was that wouldn't let you re-buy the same returned iPhone because it would have to be logged into the system or whatever.

Currys still showing lots of iPhone Pros (black/purple/gold;128gb/256gb/1Tb) all in stock for delivery on release day of 16th September 😮.

Wow!
