Ok. I know you should never EVER believe the web chat, especially from EE.

But right now I will take whatever I can get:

If I worked for EE I would of booked leave today soon as they announced the launch day must be insane working in CS
It's all fun.

I used to work at an Apple Store and I remember the iPhone 5 launch - there was a queue literally a mile long from the store, all the way through the shopping centre and snaking round outside it. We all went out in our blue Apple t-shirts past the crowd clapping in the freezing cold before the sun had risen to greet everyone.

We started at 5am and finished late at night, they gave us unlimited Dominos pizza in the break room. The atmosphere was crazy and everyone was so exhausted but it was such a memory.

Let’s say I’m intimately familiar with Yodel’s systems…

Yodel offers timed delivery and driver tracking if the sender chooses to activate those services.
That’s good, I’ll have a look at the options once the phone is showing it’s with them.

Sorry 🙈 I just thought it was such a funny situation - the other person saying they'd been told off by someone for scaremongering on another forum and then that same person turning up here and being like, "that was me." Actually cracked me up! 😂 I selectively quoted it for that purpose only!
It did make me chuckle when I seen he posted in here, he didn't even respond to me over there. These pre launches bring out the best and worst in people dont they lol 😆

Never doubted DPD but gosh EE are useless!

I definitely think the customer service staff aren’t informed of information that they should be however the company in overall control until it hits the delivery companies is Apple. They choose the allocations to each company and change it at will by the looks of it.
