What model are you getting?

Apple seem to be trusting DPD with the majority this year then! .. I used to have UPS (way back when!) then, for the past few years, it was UKMail. Happy for the shift to DPD .. always seem to be good with my parcels 🙂

Also .. I totally understand people going with the carriers if they have excellent discounts etc etc but I just don’t understand why anyone would go to curry’s, Argos, CPW etc etc unless there’s a significant perk of doing so! It’s the same every single year and yet the next year people still get sucked in by them!

So then .. if I’d missed Apple the only others I’d trust are John Lewis and AO (only because they managed to send me one on launch day when I only found them the day before So they’re in my good books for now!)
…because Amazon and Currys still promised locking in a launch day delivery rather than waiting to take another punt on the morning of release. And they do have perks of a sort, payment in 0% instalments for Amazon and some free Apple services codes from Currys.

I’ve been let down many times by Dixons Stores Group since about 1977 so I’m aware that they may do it again. If so I’ll cancel and not be in any worse position than if I hadn’t ordered with them.

PS I’m not sure I’d say I “missed Apple”, I was fully prepared for the pre-sale (madly refreshing the store on two iPhones, an iPad and a MacBook using both broadband and cellular connections). The store simply wouldn’t load for me for about 20 minutes and then every order I tried to place froze or wouldn’t complete. Not very impressed this year.

I have storage hoarding issues like I have backups of like 10+ TB of data over the years, always get 128GB model because I ave 4TB iCloud, I set any downloads from phone or iPad to be stored in iCloud and I also have it set to delete apps I dont use to free space - I never really have any issues, my storage normally looks like yours tbh but as the storage gets full then the stuff happens like storing photos on iCLoud etc to free up space :) Hope that reassures you.. if you have iCloud storage that is lol

4TB iCloud? Thought maximum was 2TB?

Worth speaking to Amazon tomorrow if you don’t get discount notification for compensation. They usually credit account or offer extra month of prime.

I do believe you guys will get it!

...its a wonder how anyone on this forum has done any work these past few days what with the constant posts every few minutes and even more posts tomorrow when phones actually start arriving!!!!

Thanks! I ordered the 13 Pro 512gb from Carphone Warehouse last year very last minute on 22 Sep and they dispatched it on 23 Sep, 1:59pm. Just one day! Got it on launch day happily 😂

Even tho Carphone Warehouse is under Currys now but seems like they're doing it faster based on the comment on this thread. Think I'll order from CW again or Apple directly next year.
I got my shipping email from DPD at 4:27pm last year

I was just thinking I rarely see DHL delivering around me (west end of Glasgow) but I looked out my window just now and there was an anonymous plain white van parked a couple of houses up with its rear doors open. Bloke in a yellow vest with a handset was rearranging stacks of parcels including a few DHL branded boxes and some in a yellow DHL branded tray. So I guess they’re doing stealth deliveries in my area 😂

Makes a change from the daily parade of DPD, UPS and Amazon branded vans!

For those of you that got Syncreon tracking, how heavy is your parcel? Just out of curiosity. I'm sure it's the same for all model categories 14/Pro/ProMax.

You could just check Apple Store stocks daily. A lot of people done this previously too if you’ve missed launch.

Same. Just got an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB in Silver. Due tomorrow. Means I don’t have to stalk John Lewis or the Apple stores 😂

Presumably I don’t need to activate the SIM and they won’t take anything next month.
But aren't prices higher by £110?

I got lucky when I got my XS Max as I missed pre order but I was able to walk into the Lakeside store on the Saturday afternoon and grab one.
Exactly and tbh the years I didn’t make launch I managed to secure one from either Curry’s for launch day or JL where I picked up from my local Waitrose the Saturday.
