Okay @Jackmw14 it's safe to say I will NOT be returning the silver. These pictures don't do it justice but it is ABSOLUTELY phenomenal and I am so in love!!! 😍

What's really striking is the way that the silver frame makes the bezels look smaller when you're looking at the phone.

I can safely say that after all the agonising over weather moving to silver after over a decade of dark phones, it was well worth the punt. I am thrilled beyond measure!!! 🎉

Now that you are happy with the decision I will take full ownership for the decision 😂 Thank you for trusting my guidance.

Mine has arrived safe and sound! A little later than my slot but I'm grateful to have it in my hands! ...now for screen protector business, updating business, and finally transferring business - see you all a bit later and good luck with your expected deliveries!

Ok so it’s not iOS 16.1 as basic setup allows me to install apps. So could be backups done with iOS 16.1.

Seems i'm in the minority here, but i stopped using screen protectors from iphone PM 12 onwards. My screens since then have remained pristine each year with multiple drops!

The glass apple use is very very resiliant these days.

(of course i'll drop my 14 PM just once and shatter the screen into a thousands pieces now i've said this 🤣)

Sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news but if it’s not out for delivery by now then I doubt you’ll be getting it today unless you are like one of the guys in here this morning who had it delivered by DPD without notification that it was out for delivery

When I didn’t get a notification this morning I had accepted I wasn’t gonna get it today. But I’m trying to be optimistic and the DPD app hasn’t updated and it’s on its way. (Who am I kidding? )

I just picked up my iPhone from the store- no queues outside, I spent less than 30 seconds waiting to queue, the run to get the iPhone was quick and there were more staff than customers.

Overall, it felt muted compared to previous pickups.

I can imagine the staff have been told to keep it calm and civil during this weekend

As for feel of the Otterbox Glass Glare Guard, it's not like a traditional anti-glare protector, no weird shine. But it definitely seems to resist glare very well. Oleophobic coating looks good at the moment.

Didn’t think I would be joining this party. Got a tax rebate this week and decided to try and find a purple Pro on launch day. Amazed to walk into the local iStore and snag one of the 3 they had!

Here it is, in a cheap silicone case I hurriedly bought from the accessories shop across the road. 🤣 Will order something decent off Amazon.

Comparison with my outgoing 12 Mini pictured as well. I must say the size and weight difference is significant. I initially considered the Pro Max, but really glad I went for the Pro as this is definitely as big and heavy as I want to go.

The purple is such an elegantly subtle colour. It’s difficult to capture in a photo. I think it’s going to sell well.

I only use screen protectors as in the past when I’ve kept an iPhone for a few years the oleophobic coating has worn off and the display ended up being a smeared mess all the time unless I kept cleaning it every 5 minutes.

Yep - but I wasn't expecting no queues - when I spoke to the associate, she said this launch had less people coming in; maybe because of the death of HM or who knows?

That’s really why I didn’t bother with store pick up this year. Last time was a bit of an anti climax.

I’m the same. Much prefer the feel of the screen.
