Woke up to my iPhone 14 Pro Max completely off and unresponsive.
Had to plug it in and do the volume up, down and on method.
Looking at the battery usage timeline it turned off around 3am.
Anyone else had this? Don't think it's related to the 'data transfer' freezing as I set up as new.

I have had this issue twice with my 14 PM, at seemingly random times during the day.

Hopefully the software update next week will fix it.

Feels like iOS 16 is a hot mess

I’m still in two minds what to do after camera vibration issue. I could return and wait for a restock. Or do I just wait for the software fix and hope no lasting damage was done to HW.

I know apple have said there won’t be, however anyone that experienced or had first had you understand the concern

Sorry I know I have asked this previosuly or very similar, but say I reserve through the upgrade program link, when I go in store can I set up the finance option? will they question why I clicked upgrade program?

I've done exactly this before, they don't care which method you pay for it even if you selected an iUP reservation.

4 days in, fairly happy with my 14 Pro coming from a 13 Pro

Battery wise, not great…

Never been able to get the screen times some of you guys get, so for the first since my first iPhone (3G), started from fresh and didn’t restore from a backup, but still fairly poor:

1h52min Screen active, down to 40%
Something isn't right there - Something is running to drain the battery down that much. Are you watching videos?

I can get 5h screen time ie, social media, web browsing, whatsapp etc and only lose 25%

Mine went dead when the transfer from my old phone completed. Hard reset cured it.

Another vote for the music magpie kiosk. Went to my local Asda At 8am this morning. Machine was being funny as twice it said remove accessories but I had already removed the screen protector and case. I repositioned it in the draw and it came back within a minute full offer price. Took me 15 mins to get home and the money hit my account during the drive home.

Got my apple care refund this morning. It says it can take up to 15 days but I only rang them Monday afternoon so thankfully the refund has been much much faster

If you’re worried about it, make use of that 14 days and try secure a replacement. Though, that replacement could have the same problem too until 6.0.2 is out… assume that will be in the coming days.

Do you have Apple care? (Even if not), I’d just wait for the fix and if there were longer lasting issues, Apple would resolve

No, could could pay in shiny penny coins and they wouldn’t mind (ok maybe with 120000 coins they might!)

Think I’m gonna take out AppleCare and I’m worried but I’m not seeing any issues with it so far. So that’s why I am in two minds. If my local store gets stock I may nip in and switch though

Even without Apple care, you’ll have a warranty for the phone which would cover mechanical defects.

But you might feel better switching it out
