On the topic of MagSafe car holders, can anyone recommend anything for a Mercedes A Class, they have those circular air vents instead of the standard ones. Found a few car holders for them, but nothing re MagSafe, not too fussed about charging as plug in for CarPlay
I have an E Class with those vents and the ESR one i posted earlier is great.

Yeah, it seems like the difference in charging speeds between the 20w charger and 30w charger are minimal: https://www.chongdiantou.com/archives/175427.html (great use for safari’s translate to English!)

I’m gonna save £10 and buy the 20w again.
Don't know if they still are but amazon were selling the apple 20w charger for £18 last week. I got one for the new phone.

My case from Nudient arrived today (Thin Case - Ink Black) and I think it looks fantastic paired with my Space Black 14 Pro:

DSC08695-2.jpg

I'd originally purchased the Midnight silicone Apple case, but coming from a history of not putting cases on my phones, it just felt too bulky. It also collected pocket lint like it was going out of fashion. I also wasn't a fan of the blue in the colour.

While this Nudient case does pick up a few fingerprints, it's easy enough to wipe clean. There's a really subtle speckled effect in the colour that looks great as it catches the light. I also like that the phone's buttons are ever so slightly recessed in the case. The lip over the screen is barely above the screen, but just enough to offer protection when placed face down. I don't even mind the branding, but that's just my personal preference. It's slightly less grippy than the silicone case, but a lot more so than without a case on the phone.

All in all, very happy indeed - until my Bare Naked case arrives and then we'll see which one ends up staying on the phone.

Yes, I have a problem...

I just checked out my saved MM price which was £495.00 - £475.00 + £20.00 code
its only saying im getting £475.00 , both were in the saved basket, will they add the £20.00 at the end when i take the phone to the kiosk.

no but it did when i went to checkout, anyone have a number for MM
Hi @Toms72 just to check you can only use the code once. If you had already checked out another order (even if not sent) it will not work a 2nd time.

I turned off the battery percentage yesterday and didn’t give it another consideration all day. Got to bedtime and it still wasn’t on low power mode… that’s as scientific as my tests will get!

Think we can all get caught up in looking at the percentage changes when it’s in your face all day!

yep, I turned that off too.

Yea, the battery %age is borked if you ask me.

The battery icon currently remains full, even when the %age drops so you could quickly glance at the battery icon briefly and see it 'full' and not actually realise it says 30% (or any other number).

I think Apple are changing the behaviour of this in an upcoming update so that the icon actually empties as the charge drops.

EDIT - Confirmed here :

It is changed in 16.1b2

The indicator reduces as the battery goes down.

yep the level indicator is 'fixed' in 16.1 so that's something. I just think people are getting caught up in small percentages now the numbers are visible on the Home Screen. I've turned it off and I'm just using the phone as normal and I'm not seeing an issue with my usage

My partner is making me check its not an iUP plan, for the 500000 time, the apple live chat is telling me it is only for iphone upgrade stock and if i change it to normal finance or buy outright, then ill have to wait and this phone is for iup only... do apple staff not have a clue when you go in whats for what? or can i just say oh actually i dont want the iup programme can i do normal finance? s o r r y

Yes you can. I did it on Saturday and will be doing it again today.

Just managed to reserve on iUP the 128Gb pro at local store.

Will be paying outright.

Jinjin Apple care cancelled for current device and full refund on its way. Thanks for heads up on process.
So you're going with regular Pro then?
I'm still deciding... I have it reserved for later still and I have no idea if I'll regret getting rid of the pro max.
