Hi, I want to buy an iPhone in London, UK. I am not a EU citizen and I don't live in UK (I just travel for work). Is the 20% tax refund still applicable? It's unclear if this https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/help/payments

DPD collected my 13 Pro this afternoon for my sale to Rebuy, all went smoothly.
The driver took photos of the phone, front and back, and passed me his device where I had to answer a few (Yes/No) questions.
He handled the phone very carefully before putting it into the box then into the bag and sealed it up.
I also took loads of photos of my phone just in case.
he said it sould be delivered by Friday at the latest to Rebuy.
Fingers crossed it now gets there ok and I receive the full amount offered of £697 🤞

The VAT RES scheme was withdrawn in the UK with effect from 1 January 2021. Unless there are any other similar schemes (which I'm not well-placed to advise on) then I don't think this will be possible.

Mine is currently restoring as we speak, managed to bag the one I wanted after much persistence...... Stuck with pro but dropped to a 128GB

I went to an EE store today and got my eSIM transferred back to a physical SIM card.
To be fair to EE my iPhone 14 Pro still didn't get 5G and still doesn't show the 5G or WiFi Calling menus with the physical SIM card in it. When I put the new SIM card back in my iPhone 12 it goes straight to 5G and has the correct 5G and WiFi Calling menus.
So it does seem like it may be a problem with my new iPhone 14 Pro and wasn't the eSIM...
Or even better go to apple.com/feedback and make sure someone there will actually see what you write.
As you say, most of this is software and will be fixed in a month or so. No different IMHO to what’s happened a lot of other years. Phones are a mature product now: no “normal” person upgrades yearly, the expected upgrade cycle is every 2 (more likely 3 or more) years, people in that bracket will see big gains with their upgrade, whereas we who are on the bleeding edge will not so much.
Based on service, the Norwich store is too often a poor excuse for an Apple Store.
At the very least they could have added a note to the website to explain why the store was showing up as 'Unavailable' for reservations.
Space Black and Elderberry is a Go.
Went with ESR Armorite after much deliberation at a round table hosted and attended only by me. Cant stand the clear edges of EZ Fit. They dont look right on a black iphone.

So after playing with my wife’s regular Pro, I have decided definitively that I am sticking with my silver Pro Max. I know I’d regret it.
So a 256GB Space Black Pro is now up for grabs at Gateshead. Probably already gone!
Now bring on Friday for my ultra so I can hum and har about whether that’s too big
Same here. I am concerned that the Ultra will be too big for my wrists which are on the thin and small side. I really like it but I just wish it wasn’t so thick. If I’m happy with it and think it looks okay then I be concerned about what others think. That said I may still change it for a Series 8.
I used the EE app on my Pro 12 to convert to an esim and it went surprisingly well. Makes me wonder what I’ve forgotten to do?
I’ll probably regret it when I have to migrate to a new phone…
I used the app too but it didn’t go smoothly. Hence I decided to go back to using a physical SIM with my 14 Pro Max at least for now. If the transfer from a physical to an eSIM is made simple and foolproof I may change to latter.
Couldn't get my e sim sorted tonight. Luckily i found a new unused sim card in my drawer which they activated. Told me to pop in store to get it transferred.
Collected iUP reservation and paid in full!! Well they did it all in one transaction the return of my 256GB and the sale of the 128GB that was reserved along with the refund...!!!
They even returned the money to my card even though I had used Apple Account Balance with Gift Cards!!!!
Please just stop worrying about this. Seriously. Just use your phone and enjoy, it will be fine.
