Thanks - I’ll probably go for the ESR one.

That carbon fibre look on the others is very “Halfords car accessories”

One thing I forgot to mention. You might want to do some more research maybe on the manufacturer’s web site to make sure it’s specifically for the AirPods Pro 2 and have the necessary cut out for the speaker, lanyard etc. Make sure it’s just not a standard AirPods Pro case marketed to the AirPods Pro 2.

Mine has been preparing to ship since thursday too. still same on sunday. expected delivery says 3-10 oct. I preordered on 9th sep 🧐
Mine was a 9th preorder..and I did the pre-approved credit check 2 days before that so only had to hit “complete order” at 1pm…then it kept crashing and glitching 🤬 hence missed the launch date delivery slot and all local pick ups!

Tried a case again this year but as expected, didn't enjoy it...even more so with the phones being heavier this cycle.

Opting for a skin setup instead. So my final setup is an ESR screen protector (front) and Xtremeskins clear matte skins (back, sides, camera).

Pretty chuffed with it. #teamnocase

PS excuse my photog skills, was also using an IPP 2018 for the shots.

Personally I don’t like skins as they hide the true colour of the phone as well as the Apple logo. I can understand not wanting to add more bulk and weight with a case but there are some pretty thin and light cases out there.

That skin looks pretty damn good. How different does it look in real life to the true colour of the phone? At £9.99 I’m very well considering it!

Yeah that's why i opted for clear skin with logo cutout. I was using a thin and light clear case but still wasn't for me. But that's just me.

Because its matte you get sort of a frozen colour effect, especially with the glossy areas (camera, stainless steel band).

But the overall colour is still well represented...for my tastes anyway

Hmm might order one to test it out - do you get any referral benefits? Happy to help out a fellow forum member!

I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much cash on something to charge my phone.

Yes but it’s not just to charge the phone. If you have an Apple Watch and AirPods with a MagSafe case it will charge them too. For me it’s worth the convenience and not having to plug my devices in. Plus it only requires one power socket.

If I could pick one up for about £50-70 I think I’d get it. But £140 feels expensive to *me* too

The battery life on this pro max is amazing. I cannot complain about that. The more I look at the deep purple the more I fall in love 😍
Looking forward to seeing the Deep Purple properly when mine get's delivered tomorrow, it's pretty much the main reason I'm upgrading my 13PM as I've been wanting a purple pro for years, normally I upgrade every 2 years.

First time I've bought a clear case as well.

Speaking of skins, I have decided to get a sides only skin. I am planning to cover the stainless still portion of my 14 Pro Max.

I sold my 12 Pro Max and they had to reduce the condition from "Excellent" to "Good" because of microscratches created by dust while being in cases since day 1. I don't want to have the same in one or two years, when I decide to upgrade.

Really interested in these skins.

How easy is to apply them? Inevitably I'd expect edges may be left uncovered as it's not a case....am I right?
