Looking on amazon a couple of years ago I brought a very slim metal case with 360 protection for my iPhone 12 Pro, this year it all seems to be for the Max which is annoying.

just start trying to open (and then force close and try again) the apple store app from 1pm...
or like the most of us... from about 12:45!
if you've pre-preauthed... I'm pretty sure the homepage of the apple store app will have a banner or prompt to complete the order... if its not there, then go to the 'for you' tab and you will see your pre pre there!
Its a bit early still - more will appear next week (and the weeks after that). My favourite case (KNOK Lanyard case) is never available in new model immediately.

Unless you specifically go and save a 48MP photo/raw, it'll be saving 12MP images as usual
isn't that only if you do it RAW. Apple are pixel binning so you get an equivalent 12mp pic?

Did you get an email in relation to each iPhone? If so, you can just use the link in the email (pertaining to the iPhone you’ve decided to have) to access your pre-order in the app. Then just complete your purchase.
If you don’t have individual emails I assume that you will have the opportunity once you get in to delete items that you no longer require.
Yep same here. I currently have my wife and I on 50gb apiece. Might be time to upgrade that to a shared 200gb plan 🤔
Once I wash off the croissant crumbs of my fingers (and now all over the mac) I’ll open it up!
I’m back for another year, good to see all the familiar names again. This year I fell into the “giving this year a miss camp” but after jumping on the forum and starting at page one, the hype had caused me to order by the time I got to page 5.

yep, if you're using ProRAW... which unless you're into heavy post production editing, then no one will!
They tend not to announce them so you have a mad scramble to choose a new plan in approximately 0.06 seconds when the pre-orders go live. It's a lot of fun!
EE don’t put theirs up until 1pm. Wish they put it up earlier so there’s not a mad dash to find a suitable plan and get the model you want in the space of two minutes.
If you read the forum you are doomed. You WILL upgrade. It’s unavoidable.
