Quick initial thoughts on the Storm Blue Silicone case compared to the Abyss Blue from last year!

The storm blue is definitely a lighter, slightly chalking colouring to it. Not as rich as the abyss.

The cases look pretty much identical in terms of button placement etc.

The camera bump and cutout is not that much different.. I was expecting a huge lip and bigger cutout but it’s barely any different on a quick glance.

My Storm Blue is here! To me it seems a very similar blue to my Pacific Blue 12PM.

Holding the case has me even more convinced the standard pro size is the one for me over my current Max.

You can only get the storm blue case for the 13 right? Curious if it still fits since the volume buttons were moved slightly

I've been reading since page 1 and have seen that person's name come up multiple times - sounds like someone who was famous on here (who is he?) ?!

Yes I joined recently but only cos I only recently moved back home so was never a member on here (was part of a different iPhone forum).

Don't want to upgrade as don't see any differences in the 14 vs the 13 so will be holding out til next year but its nice to follow all your upgrades as then I'll know what to expect next year!

This is a 14P case, I don't have a 13 to compare to I'm afraid.

I am planning to pay via Apple Pay tomorrow. As I have lost my physical credit card and do not know the 3 digit security number! 😔 So relying on the saved version on Apple Pay.

How fragile is Apple Pay? I have seen a few comments that suggests people have previously experienced issues with Apple Pay on pre-order launch day, was this at check out or after order confirmation?

Contemplating buying gift vouchers but even that seems long too….

I’ve never had a problem with it (use Apple Card and Amex) so it could be a card provider issue

ah he's just a fellow poster who's being doing upgrade like this yearly for what feel like forever.. he was always known for being adamant he wasn't going to upgrade and then changing last minute to do so!

Have you placed an order for the Peel case? Have they provided any ETA/tracking? I 💙 Peel's "thin" frosted cases, but I got messed around for two years in a row - on the 12, it arrived in November (and I ordered as soon as they were released) and for the 13, it never arrived, I had to chase for a refund. 🙁

Sorry to hear you've had two poor experiences on the bounce. I've ordered from them on three occasions and everything has always arrived within a week or two and with no customs charges.

No tracking or ETA was given with my most recent order. Only info they've given me is the 14 Pro Max hard clear case will ship on the 16th next Friday, and the shipping from the US has been quoted as 7-8 days. The silver frosted was my preference, but that isn't shipping until end of September, so I'll order one of those when they have their Black Friday sale.

I’m going for 256 because I have a dac and like to store lossless music. I’m also getting the pro instead of the max this time which saves a bit and I locked in prices early at MM.
