What model are you getting?

They’ve never had phones in store before release day.
No, but don’t displays etc normally get updated on launch day rather than following the keynote.

Would seem a bit strange to have iPhone 15 signage around stores if they just have a bunch of older iPhones on display. Can’t imagine they’d sell many iPhone 14s that week.

Unless this is something different, immediate watch availability with signage relating to that (and AirPods) perhaps? 🤔

I think watch and AirPods available immediately is more likely.

If they discounted the 14 series while advertising the 15 you could kinda understand it but we know Apple won’t discount it until the day the new model drops for sale

Overnight the night before from memory.

They have a mixture, again, from memory.

Sorry if I’ve missed this but regarding MM Kiosks

Are they manned or automatic? I assumed you sort of put the phone in a draw and then the kiosk does it’s thing and gives you a price, but the website implies ‘our technicians give you a valuation’ or something along those lines

Also was it settled if there was a £10/£20 fee?

I’d like to try the kiosk out to see what price it gives me but then also have the option (again assuming this is possible) to reject it and take the phone back

I just tried to checkout and it had a fee of £20.

I'm still tempted to try it though... means no worrying about tracking it etc.

they are virtual manned IIRC... they seem to have someone on the other end doing the examination.

if you check out a 14 on MM with kiosk, it says there's a £20 fee.

You need to get a quote online, check it out with drop off at kiosk selected.. once its been reviewed you can accept or reject and take it back.

my only concern is if even the most perfect phone gets knocked down at the kiosk, you then don't have an option to send in.. I assume!

I have multiple orders saved... I have a single 14P and single 14PM so I can checkout with the kiosk (can't do multiple in one order for that). I also have a saved order with both of them in that I could use if the kiosk option gives me a knocked down price and then try my luck with sending them in... with boxes and accessories to make it look more "excellent".

Also has anyone else noticed the change to the grading on MM this year.

Last year it was “Good, Poor, Faulty”
This year it is “Excellent, Good, Poor”

So I wonder if this is going to be used to reduce quotes. Current trade in values for excellent are equal to what would have previously been Good.

However the current excellent does not have the same requirements as good.

I have noticed the grading has changed. I imagine with the paint peeling around the edges of the phone it is only going to be classed as good. I love space black but hate the paint chipping away from the edges.

yep that's the other way... unfortunately I didn't lock in 2 at the peak price so have one at £850 and one at £800.

Agree, I do send the phone to MM in all its original packaging to make it look more polished

Take it’s just the phone they want no cable still needed

They only care about the phone, even when you send in with box and everything they discard it all. They repack in their packaging with their own cables etc. With a watch you only send the actual watch, no packaging or bands.

I still have the box so might as well use that cable my lad can have

Listened to a few Apple Podcasts this morning, seems like they are saying of potential delays in the Pro Max (Ultra) until October. Really hope this doesn't happen, I'm going to the US and Canada at the end of October for a few weeks. Really want to take the new iPhone with me.

How old are the podcasts?

Gone to checkout my MM order was going to go with the Kiosk but now showing a lower value and no option for royal mail insured delivery?

Anyone else getting the same?

WTF they are charging you £75 to use Smart Kiosk?! It cost me £10 like 3 weeks ago and I got £710 for my 14 PM.
