Picked up one of these today.

For the same price I probably could have purchased a whole cable, but wanted it for my bag of adapters.

I bought some usb-a to usb-c cables by Anker from Amazon. theyve worked without any problems on my iPad.
I propose to use one with an original 5W charger for my new phone (when it eventually arrives)
I also was surprised Apple don't have USB-A to USB-C cables, although the explanations on here make sense.
I too need one for my car.
Ordered one directly from Anker -

Was pleased with price given how much Apple charge for their cables!

I still have a kiosk price of £745 or £755 posted so will on Friday nip to the kiosk and see what it says when I enter my order number ooi

The thing with the USB A to C cables, is that these are slow. Probably worth buying C to C instead with a 30W or over brick for fast charging/data transfer.

Edit: I see, some people only have USB A in their car. Fair enough.

I think the discussion was mainly centred around CarPlay as I initially asked due to my car having an A port.

Our car has wireless CarPlay and I actually don’t like it. When the wife and I are in it together we have to turn it off with one phone and connect the other. It’s just a faff.

I’ve ordered a couple USB A to C leads for using it wired

My car has a USB-C socket but only for charging. Got 3 USB-A sockets in total with the front one used for wired CarPlay.

The funny thing is, my car was a new 2021 model and still had USB-A!

Just shows you how long it can take these ports to deprecate. Hopefully C is here for the long haul!

My car has wired CarPlay and I’ve tried various wireless CarPlay boxes, but they’ve all had too much lag for me.

GLUBEE USB-C Adapter i OS Lighting Cable (Female, 8-Pin) to USB Type C (Male) Juice Up Adapter for Galaxy S20 Note 20 Pixel 4 XL OnePlus 8T and More (Pack of 4) https://amzn.eu/d/hgZaQBr

For those needing an adapter for car play (or anything really) just get yourself one of these if you don’t want to buy a full new cable, you can probably find cheaper aswell if you look around, pack of 4 here.

Just stick it on the end of the cable you already have in your car

Just pre-ordered from box.co.uk. They have most Pro options available for 22nd and you can use PayPal credit 0% up to 36 months.

Gone for iPhone 15 Pro 256 in white.
Paypal credit offer 4 months 0%. Where are you getting upto 36 months from?

When confirming my saved £800 MM order they wanted to put it form to £670 for kiosk but still offered me three £800 for RM, so I’ve gone with that and risk it I think

I've had to buy so many new cables etc for USB-C as I had everything in Lightning before. The included USB-C cable will be too short for my usage so had to get a new Anker USB-C cable, also got the new AirPods Pro coming, got new EarPods with USB-C coming, Apple is inspecting my wallet
