Nope - the Pro screen this time is bigger than the Pros of old, hence my move from 15PM to 16P.

Decent-sized screen plus 5x.
What made you do switch btw? Are you missing the Pro Max? I have read many people who had the Pro Max and downgraded to the Pro say they regretted it and couldn't get used to the small screen/battery so they returned the Pro within a couple of days.

I am buying my sis a new iPhone for her birthday next week and can't decide between the Pro and Pro Max. She has had Pro Max's for the last couple of upgrades but since she has the new M4 iPad Pro 13 inch, I am thinking maybe to get the Pro since she can use her iPad when she wants to watch movies and stuff. It's a tough decision to make because of the benefits of the Max is the bigger battery which comes in handy a lot.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread. Received a 16 Pro from Carphone Warehouse on the 20th. Just noticed that there is kind of a lump in the glass of the screen. Thought it was something under the screen protector at first but it’s not. Is this something that I can pop in to an Apple store and get replaced, as Apple give a 1 year warranty. Or do I have to deal with Carphone Warehouse first?

I would go via Carphone warehouse if you can. Apple will probably just replace the screen and they will tell you to go to Apple but consumer law and all that

What method did you use, I remember my watch was a nightmare last year.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with it but kept the watch on charge in the other room, did all my phone to phone transfer settings first then went into the watch app on the new phone and it just came up on the screen - no hovering over to scan the image in or anything like that - it just... worked!

Normally you get that circular update around the watch face as its transferring - this time it was a horizontal bar on the actual phone display.

I don't know whether they have improved the migration but normally for me it fails then I have to unpair it then it has to take a backup then I have to restore from iCloud...

Had a chance to order from EE a iPhone 16 Pro Max 256gb in Natural Titanium but held off as still waiting for the funds to come through from my mortgage, now they are all gone but good to know stock is coming in though.

Don’t regret the move down at all.

Great to have a phone that fits in my pockets and a pop-socket isn’t needed (do use it sometimes though).

The Pro screen is bigger than last time so that helps.

The Pro Max was too big and heavy.

I’m sure I will miss the battery life but tbh anywhere I am going where I am out all day with no power access, I have a battery with me anyway.

Can’t see me going back to Pro Max again, they will only get bigger (as we saw this year).

No email yet from Apple, but I got a DPD notification for my black 16PM 256GB that I got the confirmation email confirmation 13:23 on release day... It dispatched at 2AM.. So hopefully I can still get it today :)

Interesting thank you. And that worked flawlessly? I’ll message them in the morning to see if I can get the same!

Easiest way as if you order a e sim o2 will disconnect your current e sim and you will without coverage until e sim arrives.

Quick call to o2 and open o2 app on your phone your up and running within 1 minute.

It really seems that people go for the Pro Max these days instead of the Pro. Most networks/Apple are saying you have to wait weeks for the Pro Max whereas the Pro is in stick in a lot of places...
Nothing scientific or fact based here just my own eyes with family/friends and just generally out and about, but the regular phones seem to be the most popular by a considerable distance, the demographic who buy £1000+ phones outright on day one and who frequent tech sites/youtube channels etc are not really representative of the mainstream, I suspect the pro/pm sales will be more top heavy at launch and then it’s balanced out as the more mainstream consumers naturally upgrade over the year.

I decided to setup the new iPhone yesterday, wierdly enough today now shows my contract discount. All I had to do after all was activate the phone!

One thing is giving me a bit of a headache is setting up my banking app, If didnt reset my 14 Pro it would of been straightforward, but other than that I'm all sorted and good to go for the next 2 years at least.

Just need to post my old iPhone for trade-in now.

It does only show once the phone is received, the account fully updates. It should show under Add-ons like this:

Same. Went from from 15PM to 16P. Battery life between the two is very similar.
Still adjusting to the smaller screen but love! the portability.

I have a 13" iPad Pro, which will get used quite a bit more now.

It also really helped that EE were extremely generous in the upgrade process: I got a 20% perk discount AND the EE&BT 30% discount (which I never mentioned to them or tried using).

Basically ended up getting a discount of almost 50% on the Full Works plan with a 512GB 16P....

That’s different to what I was told on web chat and in store. Interesting and thanks
Can confirm I was told the same thing earlier today on the chat.

Will try activating it later on new phone, currently without signal on my 14 pro max so maybe it does work.

Is that your local depot? If so, just give it time. Imagine you will get it today :)
Yeah, I’ve never had DPD send the time slot after 10am before and I’m still waiting for them to confirm the slot which is out of the ordinary.

Edit: ignore me, they just sent me the window. My impatience even irritates me sometimes.

Yeah the guy in the o2 shop said that it’s this way due to security. Not quite sure that’s true, the web chat said they can post you a new QR code. I don’t see how sending a QR code to your account registered email is a security risk. My thought is they don’t have the process set up to quick transfer. Might go back to physical sim
When I switched iPads on O2 earlier this year I used quick transfer to switch my eSIM To my new iPad and it worked seamlessly.

Anyone had any luck with Apple Store restocks for the pro max since release?

I’ve checked daily at 6am to no avail.
