From what I can tell so far pre orders went a bit like this:

8:01 - 8:06 - launch day
8:07 - 8:15 - 2-3 weeks delivery.

Is that about right?

I think pick ups skew it a little bit. I’m hoping with an 8.08 order I’m in the upper part of the 2-3 week delivery 😵 Definitely fell victim to the app not wanting to refresh. I ended up rebooting my iPad at 8:20 before it would let it in, no idea how I got in with my phone at 7 minutes past.

I was 90 seconds out from launch day 🙁 the app just wouldn't open anything till 08:08..

Likewise. Never had a longer lead time order brought forward on any Apple order. Unfortunately.

Same here never had any apple order get delivered before it was meant to.

I have launch day and got my email at 8:04. (Delivery to house, 256SG.)

Hopefully we either get a bump or at least fall into the top section of the ‘2-3 weeks’ estimate by being so close.

Well it’s safe to say O2 have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA about when ANY iPhone X’s are going to be shipped. So far I’ve been told four weeks, release day, a coupe of days after release and one guy even tried to claim it was out for delivery right now I can safely say I think this time next week I’ll have been to Apple Store to pick up my iUP orders and have signed up to a sim only deal. For reference I ordered from O2 at 0745 this morning when the website still said ‘shipping from 03/11’

Likewise. Never had a longer lead time order brought forward on any Apple order. Unfortunately.

Weirdly my X is likely to be delivered around the same time I received my current iPhone except two years later. With my 6S+ I couldn’t get into the app until about 8:15 & received a 4-5 week delivery. This time I couldn’t get into the app until 8:25 & have received the exact same 4-5 week delivery. Not too bothered as just wanted it before Christmas.

Yes - I’m wondering now if that was the correct thing to do or not?
Regardless on Mac just hitting refresh was more or less the same.

Most likely because the extra stock will be given to the stores rather than move online orders forward.

Which I always think is somewhat unfair as don’t see why stock should be prioritised like that.

Pre orders via carriers are always a S H I T S H O W, they never have any idea about stock and will give you a different answer depending on who you talk, absolute farce.

VODAFONE UK here. Ordered at 8;15 am. Was told 3rd November delivery. Tracking now says delivery 10th. As usual vodafone don’t fail to disappoint. Same happened last year too. Anyone else in the same boat? 64GB SG. Thanks guys

A few on the EE forums said their delivery date went from 3rd to not confirmed and now back to 3rd again. Strange.

I'm planning on selling my 7 plus for £450 on Friday so it better come on Friday lol

I've yet to sell my iphone 7 plus will probably sell it music magpie they seem to have the better quotes for my version doubt it will be much more than 400 though. Would prefer for it to come next friday but within a week of that date would be fine too. The problem would be how fast supply can be replenished you know apple will give the majority of stock to their american customers and we might have to wait more than a week to get new stock in.

Does Apple send you an email or notification if they try to take payment but it fails (i.e because your bank declined it for fraud reasons)? Saw people's post here saying they had to retry payment, and I don't want to lose my delivery estimate because my bank declined the transaction before the phone ships!

Not here also on Vodafone but stuck with buying it outright as was wary about slipping shipment dates etc.

Did anyone else do the same as me? I paid for the phone via apple pay at 8.04am and selected pickup in store instead of deliver to home. However, there is no pending charge on my bank account from apple? Is this normal or should I contact them?

Exactly the same for me, seen a few other posts like this too.

Seems spot on to me.... When I placed my order I had Delivery on the 3rd in the app, On the confirmation email that came at 8:07 I was in the 2-3 weeks window.

Got my 3/11 pre-order in at 8.06 and 58 seconds. 😀 I know I was seconds away from missing it as I went straight back after payment and it had changed to 2-3 weeks.
