Like the other poster.. I'm down for a 13th - 20th Nov delivery with Apple... I would prefer it in my hands on the 3rd, CPW said they could do that... I'll believe it when I see it of course. I know they're shitbags, but I've not missed a launch day phone since 2007.
I'm in the same position. Every one on release day (That queuing at Meadowhall in 2007 for 5 hours seems a breeze now).

I'm the same with my apple order 13-20 but also praying my CPW actually comes on the 3rd... even though deep down I know it won't

Just a heads up for those with HSBC - my account has just cleared and the full amount now shows on my statement, happened in the last half an hour. Paid with Apple Pay via the app last Friday at 8:02

Yup my payment has cleared and I have no delivery date.... fun times

Whatever checks they do, they also have your bank account details. Any issues they will just reverse the credit.

True, I'm fine with this just thinking of easy stealing and trading in. Am tempted by this, not sure if a bit hassle is worth it as probably looking at forum, eBay, gumtree prices maybe another £100 can be had selling private

They check its IMEI, general condition (turns on, battery full, screen etc), and that, of course, it belongs to you. They give you a quote and if accept it then you wipe the device and remove it from icloud. You may need a form of ID also. It is a very simple process and takes less than 20 minutes if that to do.
My battery won't be full though as I'll be using it up until then. I'll also wipe it on the way to CPW or do they need to see this done in front of them? I'll have ID also has have just picked up an X on IUP... Hopefully! Will the quote be the same as off the website at that time?

Do I need to make sure my current iPhone isn't running a beta so that the restore on my new phone goes smoothly?

Don't forget to log out of your iCloud account and iTunes and App store on the phone prior to wiping

Should be fine. They do not need to see you wipe it. I tend to wipe it prior to going there and removing it from my icloud account. Is pretty straight forward and convenient.https://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/trade-in.html

Wiping it will remove that device from the beta program as it will no longer have the piece of software installed on it.

You can’t restore to an older iOS version.... so if you’re on 11.1 beta, ideally you want Apple to have put 11.1 onto the X.

If 11.1 isn’t on the X then it’ll need to be updated to 11.1 before you can restore.

I’d avoid 11.2 for now.

Halifax account also now been charged

My payment was taken as a pre-authorisation on Friday - and deducted from my available balance - but has now ‘physically’ left my current account.

I don’t remember the funds going so early / before shipment previously?

‘Preparing for Dispatch’ right now.

Barclaycard also now confirmed as taken, Apple On Line Store Gbp with a contact number in Ireland. Nov 3 delivery ordered via app store app 27Oct 0804

guessing EE will take my upfront cost when it gets shipped. Still nothing out my account yet. Guessing it will on Thursday

they could go tonight , early tomorrow, apple probably charging early so people with issues can rectify it and not be effected . specially after apple pay issues to that seems likely

EE just took my upfront cost from my account. I’m collecting from store so guessing they will receive them on Thursday ready.

You been on EE forums? Do you have an order number? Mine got taken the day of order
Yeah got order number, had a text with my tracking details and it's due to arrive on Friday the 3rd. Dunno wether because I had to ring EE to confirm some details that they waived the upfront cost? either that or it will just come out when it's shipped.

the order is on my EE app as well.

If you are talking about accessories then yes, once the tracking number gets into the post office system you will see it. If you get tracking number not known then the package is not yet in their system even though the number is known,
Thanks, how about for the phone itself?

Anyone managed to track theirs?
